Chapter 7 - Curiosity

"Rhodes, I clearly saw you using Arcane Magic just now, but why did you use Holy Light Power again in the blink of an eye?" Jaina asked, her face full of doubt.

She had clearly seen that Rhodes was using the power of magic just moments ago, yet now he was exhibiting Holy Light Power.

"Oh, are you referring to my magical power? Like this?" Rhodes smiled, and a surge of blue magical energy floated above his palm.

Then, a powerful Frostbolt shot out, instantly piercing the large tree opposite and freezing half of it. The power was in no way inferior to the magic Jaina had just cast!

"This, this is simply unbelievable. This is—this is Frostbolt! Heavens, Rhodes!

How did you manage to possess the power of Arcane Magic and still be able to use Holy Light ?" Jaina asked, looking excitedly at Rhodes.

"You could say this is my personal talent!" Rhodes said with a laugh.

Since he would eventually step into human society, the fact that he could use both the Light and spells would inevitably be exposed sooner or later. Rather than hiding it, he might as well explain it openly.

"That is truly incredible, do you know?

This completely overturns everything I know!

Logically, these two energies shouldn't be able to coexist, but that's just a theoretical statement.

Yet now you have proven to me that these two powers can coexist. This is a monumental piece of academic research; I should write a thesis on this." Jaina excitedly threw her hands up; this was an enormous discovery!

The mages of Dalaran would go mad over this, because everyone had proven that the Light and Arcane Magic cannot exist simultaneously within one person.

If one learns Holy Light and then wishes to train Arcane Magic, they must abandon the power of the Light. By the same token, if one wishes to train Holy Light, they must abandon Arcane Magic.

"Perhaps I am slightly different from others!" Rhodes said with a smile.

Just you wait....

Once I learn Druid spells and Warlock spells later, I'll show you all six fundamental forces.

"Alright, Jaina, we are currently attending to a guest. Rhodes, I will hire you for this mission at the price of 1,000 gold coins. Are you satisfied with this price?" Arthas stopped the overly excited Jaina and looked at Rhodes as he spoke.

In his view as a prince, while using Holy Light was good, using Arcane Magic was also not a problem.

What was important now was to quickly investigate the source of this plague, resolve this incident, and save his people who had been cruelly harmed by the Cult of the Damned.

The price for hiring Rhodes was something he had stated after careful consideration; 1,000 gold coins was definitely not a small amount, even equivalent to a minor lord's annual income.

"Prince Arthas, your price is very fair. I am happy to serve you." Rhodes said.

If this were the Level 60 version, one thousand gold coins would be enough to buy a thousand-gold mount.

Given the currency inflation in the current Azeroth World, there shouldn't be a situation where the average adventurer has hundreds of thousands of gold coins, so this money shouldn't be a small amount!

Furthermore, now that he had money, he also wanted to try to see if he could buy the high-level resources he needed in the Capital City of Lordaeron.

Azeroth World has gems; mercury, sulfur, and crystals are also available, and in great variety.

"Then, let us depart! We head to Andorhal. According to the intelligence I have gathered, the Cult of the Damned seems to be making a major move there." Arthas said.

Rhodes nodded, joining the party of Arthas and Jaina.

"Rhodes, allow me to introduce you. This is Farik, the captain of my personal guard." Arthas said, pointing to the tall, middle-aged man next to him who was wearing a set of fine, standard armor.

The latter immediately stood up and nodded to Rhodes, who politely returned the gesture.

And he mouthed, "The Light bless you."

Falric! Another familiar face! The infamous first Boss of the inverted T Hall!

How many tanks were slaughtered by him back then? How many healers were flamed into silence because of this guy? To say more would just bring tears!

Afterward, Arthas introduced Rhodes to the other Lordaeron soldiers in the party, and everyone set off together toward Andorhal.

Along the way, Jaina constantly pestered Rhodes with questions, especially concerning how to balance the two principles, which greatly annoyed Rhodes.

The reason was simple!

Rhodes couldn't answer the questions she was asking. The reason he could simultaneously learn Holy Light Spells and Frostbolt was because he had a spellbook, and these two spells were currently recorded in it.

As everyone knows, as long as a spell is copied into a spellbook, the hero can use it. There is no logic involved; it's just that simple and crude.

It is because I possess Eagle Eye. As for the casting principle, how to balance the two powers within the body?

Arcane structure and Holy Light resonance—Rhodes stated that he had absolutely no idea.

"Lord Rhodes! Please, I beg you, give me some guidance!

I am truly curious how you cast spells while simultaneously using Holy Light Power. This is very important." Jaina even resorted to her coaxing technique, attempting to glean some information from Rhodes.

Hearing this, Rhodes rolled his eyes. Coaxing and acting cute won't work on me, Daddy's Girl Jaina.

Please! Go pester your Little Prince, don't pester me! I don't want to be dragged down by you!

It is a known fact that after arriving in the Azeroth World, you must stay away from a certain female mage, because any male who has a decent relationship with this female mage generally comes to a bad end.

This person has consecutively harmed two princes, a dragon whose combat power was only five, and the Archmage of Dalaran.

Speaking of which, throughout the entire Azeroth World, the only person who could withstand Jaina's curse was Thrall!

Although he is an Orc, Thrall's mind is very sharp; in the early stages, he could run circles around the naive sweetheart and even make her pay him after selling her father!

"Lord Rhodes, do you know the leader of the Cult of the Damned, Kel'Thuzad?" Arthas asked, walking over to Rhodes.

Seeing Jaina constantly pestering the other man made the Little Prince feel very unpleasant.

Originally, he had planned that once this mission was complete,he would take Jaina back to the Capital City of Lordaeron to meet his father, King Terenas.

Then, he would formally establish their relationship. He had hurt Jaina's heart a few years ago, and this time he intended to make amends for everything.

Moreover, he wanted to tell Jaina personally that their child would have golden hair in the future.

"Regarding this question, perhaps Lady Jaina has more authority to speak than I do.

Kel'Thuzad was once a member of the Kirin Tor's Council of Six in Dalaran, but he was later expelled from Dalaran for researching necromancy." Rhodes said.
