As Silas arrived at the guild after a long hour of walking, we decided to accept another combat quest.
"Hello Mio! Im back for more quests"
"Are you? Go to the bulletin as usual, new quests were put up around 20 minutes ago actually, so there's some fresh money to be made" Said Mio
"Perfect" Said Silas as he walked over to the bulletin board
"Herb gathering... No... Bodyguarding... Too high ranked... Perfect , Another low ranking extermination quest."
Silas grabbed the quest and went over to Mio
"Excuse me, Mio, What are Luminurk?"
"Hm? Did you pick an extermination quest regarding them?"
"Indeed i did, so what are they?"
"Im guessing you know what goblins are, theyre sub-species of goblins that are smaller and weaker but have high regeneration abilities. They like the dark a lot so they can be found in caves, also, theyre immensely scared of light magic, so use that" Mio answered
"Alright then , i'll accept this quest." Silas hands the quest to Mio. Mio registers it and hands it back to him, a location of a Luminurk cave appearing on his map
"Perfect... Wish me luck then!" Said Silas as he walked out the guild
Aftert 25 minutes of navigating later , he arrived at the entrance to the big cave.
"This must be it..." Silas used some begginer light magic and imagined a glowstick, which he threw into the cave, lighting it up.
"Lets head inside then..."
He navigated through the lush cave, throwing magical glowsticks when necessary. After a while, he stumbled upon something that looked like a village, but much smaller. There was no light he could use to spot the luminurk.
"Tsk... Its too dark..." Silas said "Theyre scared of light... Alright , i have an idea"
Silas used his magic to create a flashbang and unleashed it above the village, covering his eyes and ears. "BOOM". A sound echoed throughout the entire cave, and the luminurk were finally revealing themselves out of panic.
Silas used nature magic to create a weak bow and used light to create arrows.
He began shooting the Luminurk, hitting most of them, but missing some. "Tsk, god damn it, my aim is so bad" He continued firing the arrows and after a while, defeated all of them "huff... Huff..." He was exhausted from the overwhelming usage of mana.
As he was picking the luminurk's ears to use as proof of extermination, he collapsed to his knees, completely exhausted. "Ugh... So tired... I should rest a little before going out... I didnt get any food thou-"
Before he could finish his sentence Silas heard a very loud sound that resembled only one thing, something big's footstep. "H-Huh?"
After waiting for a while, he finally caught a glimpse of what was approaching him. It look enormous, like an orc but with blue skin.
"W-What the hell?! Noone said anything about some damn orcs?!"
As Silas Shouted, the creature lunged at him. He used the little magic he had to blind it using bright light and limp away. "D-Damn it all! I dont wanna die..."
Before he could take another step, the still blinded orc threw a large rock towards Silas. Although it didnt hit him, it smashed right through the floor around and below him, making him plunge into a deep pit.
He fainted from shock.
After a couple hours, Silas woke up. He had a very wounded leg and was laying on a flat grassy surface. Despite the wound still being fresh, it was actively being healed by some miracle.
"W-what the hell?... Where am i? And what's with this enhanced healing..." As Silas tried standing up using the stone wall as support, he finally took in the scenery.
The Sub-cave he had ended up in was filled with shining clumps of obsidian, the perfect storage for ley. He finally realized , he had ended up in a 'Ley tunnel'
"Holy crap... Whats with my luck? Actually, what am i wasting my time on, i should do ley exchange immediately!"
And so, Silas sat down, his leg fully healed and focused on gathering mana.
