"He's... interesting..." A figure spoke
The said figure was somewhere in space, looking down at Silas through a golden telescope. It was wearing simple robes, and it's face was blocked by something that seemed like a minniature black hole.
Rest assured, the figure looked otherworldly, not otherwordly like how magic felt for silas, otherworldy how the world considered it out of place.
The figure vanished into thin air, appearing far away on a throne made from pure mana
"You feel like you're not part of this world... like me... entertain me more, Silas..." It said.
"And you." It pointed to nothing... it pointed to where i, or we, were looking at it from
"No need to describe me, author~"
Silas, after some time waiting, noticed the train aproaching from far away. He disposed of the newspaper and stood up, stretching slightly.
"Finally" He said as the train stopped right across him.
He walked over to the entrance and waited for the passengers inside to exit, going inside once it was empty. He went to his designated seat.
Before he sat down, he pushed the ticket inside something called the 'ticket depository'.
A blue light fickered above his seat as he finally sat down, impressed by the simple yet soft seat.
"Hm... This ride should be comfy, looking at these seeds"
Comfy it was. Throughout the entire journey through mountains and plains, the ride was smooth and relaxing.
A small 'ding' was heard throughout the entire train as it began slowing down, the immense colloseum coming into view.
It was huge, way bigger than the roman colloseum back on earth, it was definetly big enough to fit hundreds of thousands of viewers.
"Its way bigger than i thought..." Silas said as he stood up from his seat as the train stopped. He walked outside and took a deep breath, marveling at the fresh air.
"I havent said this yet, but the air feels way cleaner than in most cities-it feels rejuvenating even..." He said as he walkes out of the station, using his map as guidance to reach the colloseum
After some long walking, Silas arrived at the entrance. He walked up to the ticket booth
"Uhm, excuse me, madam?" Silas began talking to the worker in charge of selling tickets, a petite female with short blonde hair and a face that screamed cuteness
"Yes?" She answered
"How much is a ticket for a single person?"
"It is 4 copper for one individual match, would you like to buy a ticket?" Asked the girl
"Sure, i would love to-" Silas stopped as he looked through his puch, just to find nothing. He was broke, through and through
"Nevermind..." Silas swiftly took off, sitting on a far-away bench overlooking a small town surrounding the colloseum.
He finally realized, even in another world, money was the most important thing, and if he wanted to explore the said world, he'd need a lot of it
"Maybe i should go take another quest... Or just farm multiple... Fuck, i need a lot of money, dont i" He said to himself as he sighed and cupped his own face
"This will be a long journey... Fucking economy, atleast there's no taxes here"
And so, Silas's broke ass bum got up from the bench and began walking to a guild located in the little town for more quests...
