chapter 7
Searching amidst the crowd of students walking out of the lecture room, Ridwan felt hopeless after waiting for so many minutes without seeing who he was looking for. "Did she not come to class today?" He thought. He decided to leave but unknowingly bumped into one of the close friends of who he was looking for who told him she's still in the class.
Ridwan felt rejuvenated and dash into the classroom where he saw faridat, Ridwan sister arranging some things in her bag. Faridat was surprised, "why are you here Ridwan" she asked him because he had never done that before, its either he wait outside till she comes out or he leaves and give her a call. Both him and her brother.
Ridwan held her hands and pull her out of the classroom without saying a thing. Some of her friends where even winking at her making her embarrassed although they knew he's her brother's bestfriend. Who doesn't know the two bestfriends in campus, they are like twins instead of calling them friends.
"Where are you taking me Ridwan and what is going on " she felt confused about his abnormality, its so unusual of him.she asked flabbergasted
Ridwan stopped after walking to a less crowded place. He turned to her after checking around as if afraid of someone catching him in the act of what he was about to do.
He smiled cheekily, scratched his head then told her" guess what?" Making faridat unable to think
"what is all this going on with you, talk or else I'm walking out of here" she scolded him, disliking putting her in suspense.
Unable to get the reaction he wanted from her, Ridwan decided to speak up " Well your brother is in love" he dropped the bombshell
Faridat stood for 5sec without blinking before bursting into laughter. Stop your nonsense, that's impossible. She told him
But after a while she saw him looking at her seriously without any hint of playfulness and that is when she noticed that he's not joking.

She screamed making Ridwan chuckled while some people where looking at her as if something is wrong with her.
"So are you telling me that the almighty Basit who kept rejecting all the ladies proposal is now hooked in love with someone but why am i finding this unbelievable. Its too surreal oo. I don't believe you" Faridat said after calming her excited and shocked heart.
Ridwan recounted all that happened to faridat while watching her expression changes continuously from time to time. By the time he finishes, she was grinning from ear to ear like a fan girl who saw her idol giving her a lollipop.
Where is she? Which department? Do I know her? What is her name? What is her background? Is she that beautiful? Intelligent ? And..... faridat bombarded him
Can you please wait and ask your question one after the other or maybe ask your brother, you know... Ridwan stopped the questioneer who won't stop throwing him questions upon questions.
Fine...sorry... you know... i was just too excited Please tell..
She's someone you know. The beauty and brain in their department, Rihannat. That pretty lady with don't get too close to me vibe when it gets to male. Now you see your brother dilemma.
Whaaat!!!!!!! Faridat screamed again.
I feel sorry for him but don't worry we are very stubborn, we don't give up easily, it runs in the blood. My brother will have her very soon just wait and see.
After some more conversations Ridwan turned to take his leave only to hear..
What about you? Now that your friend has gotten someone is inlove with and ready to be responsible, what about you?
Ridwan almost stumble on hearing that but steady himself and without waiting for another moment he ran away without answering nor looking back . He heard her voice calling after him saying, be expecting me this weekend, you and my lovepuppy brother. Especially you, you can run away now but not forever, see you then..
Ridwan was like a fried egg on the pan. Why did i even come to her? My mouth will not put me in trouble ooooo .Why why why? He kept lamenting. Thinking out loud "you can't blame me, all the ladies I've met are just like a dissecting lab body to me, i felt nothing, And what should i do when they are just too corrupted most especially the ladies on campus, right here in their school.
Full of complaints and unwillingness Ridwan walked faster till he collided with someone!
Basit who has been looking around for him for a long time looked at his friend who looked flustered
Where have you been? I've been looking for you for some time now? Where are you coming from? He asked him
Guilty, flustered and embarrassed was not enough to express how he was feeling.
