"A Level 7 adventurer?!"
As Hogni's shocked cry echoed, the faces of every Freya Familia member turned pale. A judgment made by a Level 6 was never wrong. Stunned, horrified gazes fell upon the distorted shadow. Everyone knew what that Level meant, but no one expected to see it here.
After the "Great Feud," only two Level 7s remained in the world: Ottar and Leon Vardenburg. This mystery man clearly wasn't their boar-man captain, and Leon was currently traveling the world with the "Education District."
Where the hell did this god-tier powerhouse come from?
The Freya Familia members felt a roar of frustration in their hearts. Suddenly, Hedin's defeat seemed understandable. Who could have guessed that a backwater like Daedalus Street would hide a Level 7?
Roy pressed down on his sword with both hands. Hogni was pinned, his knees slamming into the pavement as the sheer weight of Roy's strength forced him down.
"Allen!" Hedin shouted.
"I know, cockroach!" Allen snarled, lunging from the shadows. His silver spear thrust toward Roy's back at a speed that defied logic.
Roy felt the air ripple behind him and smirked. A Falna wasn't just a buff; it was an evolution. At Level 7, his senses were transcendent. He could hear whispers hundreds of meters away and see for kilometers. Even if it was temporary, the sensation was intoxicating. It was a different dimension.
Roy abandoned Hogni, spinning mid-air as his blade parried Allen's spear. He had effortlessly countered the "Fastest in the City." Using the momentum, Roy flipped and delivered a simultaneous kick and punch, blowing both Allen and Hogni back.
Allen's shoulder emitted a sickening crack as the bone splintered. His face twisted. What kind of speed and strength is this? He's scarier than that damn pig (Ottar)!
Hogni fared worse; the punch to his stomach nearly made him retch bile. His internal organs were bruised.
As they were pushed back, Hedin finished his chant: "Calse Hild!!"
Hundreds of silver lightning spears manifested around Hedin, illuminating the night sky. Roy glanced at them coldly. He knew the data: a super-short chant that generated hundreds of projectiles. One was enough to incapacitate a Level 3.

Roy's sword shifted, broadening into a heavy shield.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!
A relentless barrage of lightning spears rained down. The explosions shook the very foundation of the city, turning everything within a hundred meters into rubble and ruin.
"Did we get him?" The Familia members watched the settling dust with bated breath, praying to their beloved Freya to see a corpse.
Their prayers were in vain. As the dust cleared, the distorted figure stood in the center of a cratered wasteland, completely unscathed.
"Monster..." someone whispered. He had tanked a Level 6's magic point-blank.
Of course, Roy hadn't relied on his body alone, but on the shield his magic had formed. He had nearly used Riveria's defensive spells, but caught himself—the unique chants would have revealed his identity.
Hedin hasn't reached his peak yet, Roy realized. Hedin had only reached Level 6 two years ago. His stats were likely in the low hundreds. Roy, with his peak Level 7 stats, could block him with simple, no-chant magic. This was the power of pure numbers.
Boom!
The four of them clashed again, the shockwaves of their battle feeling like firestone explosions. As Roy held off three Level 6 executives at once, the atmosphere changed. The Freya Familia members felt their confidence waver, replaced by a deep, primal awe.
Level 7 was indeed an insurmountable wall. They viewed Ottar as the gold standard of Level 7. Even if they all attacked at once, they could only hope for a stalemate against Ottar. The gap between 6 and 7 was a literal abyss. And Roy was a Peak Level 7.
Roy looked at his opponents and spoke, his voice taunting: "What's wrong? Why aren't you using your magic? Don't tell me you're holding back!"
The Familia members blinked, their eyes eventually falling on the three executives.
"My skill, [Fiery Eyes], can see through every spell in existence!" Roy lied boldly.
He then turned his gaze toward Hedin. "Why don't you use it? That 'Lightning Enhancement' magic?"
Hedin's face darkened instantly. He knew exactly which spell the stranger was referring to: Lóreinz Hild. It granted the protection of rapid lightning, enveloping the target in lightning armor that boosted attack, defense, speed, reaction time, and perception. It couldn't be used on oneself—it could only be cast on someone Hedin truly acknowledged. Upon activation, it would consume all his mana and heal the recipient's wounds.
Because Hedin had never met anyone he deemed worthy, he had never used it. Aside from Goddess Freya, no one should have known he possessed such magic.
