Chapter 114 - Chapter 115: The "Strongest" Strike

Seeing Hedin's grim expression, the crowd realized the "Berserker" was telling the truth; their executive was indeed hiding a secret spell.

Fiery Eyes? A skill that sees through magic? Does such a miraculous thing actually exist? The Freya Familia members turned pale.

Roy then locked onto the black-haired catman, Allen. Even through the distortion of the mask, Allen felt the weight of that gaze. A sense of foreboding washed over him, and it was immediately validated.

Roy exposed him without mercy. "And you, with your 'Chariot' magic... are you looking down on me?"

"You bastard!" Allen spat, hissing like an enraged cat. He rarely used his magic because the hateful incantation would expose his true feelings for his sister.

The rank-and-file members were completely bewildered. Few had ever seen Vice-Captain Allen use magic. These high-ranking executives were hiding more than anyone realized. Hedin and Hogni remained calm, however; they had seen Allen's magic during deep-floor expeditions—an infinite acceleration that turned him into a crushing chariot. He simply never used it in front of his sister, Anya.

Having exposed both Hedin and Allen's secrets, the crowd now fully believed in the [Fiery Eyes] skill. This led to a sudden realization: No wonder he saw through Goddess Freya's disguise. Even the Gods couldn't pierce Helun's "Goddess Transformation," but [Fiery Eyes] was clearly a miracle of the lower world. Only a miracle could counter a miracle!

"Even without magic, your end is certain," Hedin said, sensing something approaching.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Heavy footsteps echoed, accompanied by a terrifying, suffocating pressure. The Freya Familia members perked up; they knew those footsteps all too well. Even geniuses like Allen, Hedin, and Hogni were forced to take a backseat to this man.

A towering, massive Boarman appeared at the end of the street, a broad, heavy greatsword strapped to his back. The strongest adventurer in Orario, Level 7, the dominant "King" — Ottar.

"Tch, perfect timing. Finish him off already!" Allen snapped coldly.

Ottar walked forward with calm eyes. Only when he saw the injuries on the three executives and the distorted silhouette of the phantom did a flicker of battle intent appear. Since Leon Vardenburg left to teach, and after the Great Feud two years ago, Ottar hadn't fought another Level 7—at least not outside the Dungeon.

Facing a Level 7 adventurer on the surface was different from fighting a monster. Ottar's blood began to boil.

The oncoming pressure made Roy's heart race with excitement. Unlike their brief encounter on the street before, the raw killing intent Ottar was emitting now made Roy tremble with a desire to crush him.

Roy glanced at his countdown; the Level 7 Experience Card had five minutes left. "One move," he said deeply. "I'll allow you to chant your magic."

Ottar paused. Allen, Hedin, and the others were dumbfounded. Are you insane?! They wanted to scream. He was giving the strongest man in the city time to prepare his most powerful attack? Roy's calm, confident tone made it sound as if he was the one testing Ottar, not the other way around. But in this moment, Roy and Ottar only had eyes for each other. Two Level 7s meeting, both wanting to find the other's limit.

Ottar drew his massive sword and began his short-chant magic: "Mercy of the silver moon, golden fields, I command my body to be the fighting boar. Carrying the divine will of the Goddess, charge forward!!"

As the chant ended, golden mana enveloped the greatsword. It looked like a solar flare, creating the illusion that the blade was growing larger and thicker, as if wrapped in the fur of a golden boar.

By allowing Ottar time to prepare his "strongest" strike, Roy's [Luck/Adventure] ability triggered. His already peaked stats surged again, breaking past 1500 across the board! When he hit a certain number, he felt as if he had slammed into an indestructible wall.

Roy realized that was the realm of Level 8. His H-rank ability couldn't break through it yet, but these numbers were enough. His confidence didn't just come from stats, but from his skill: [Blood for Blood]. Based on his emotional surge, it would multiply and return the damage he had taken!

Recalling the life-threatening danger of the expedition, a spark of pure fury ignited in Roy's eyes. Scarlet energy began to bleed from the wounds he'd taken while fighting Allen and the others, swirling into his longsword.

"Come, 'King' Ottar!"

The two charged simultaneously.

"Get back!!" Hedin shouted. Sensing the terrifying mana saturating the air, the Familia members scrambled to escape the blast zone. Roy and Ottar collided in the center of the street with the force of two Level 7s.

[Blood for Blood: Fivefold Return!]

Roy swung his sword, now wreathed in crimson threads of concentrated damage. The scarlet blade met the golden greatsword. The blades didn't even touch; the sheer pressure of their mana kept them apart, illuminating the night sky and splitting the world into two halves: red and gold.

The shockwave turned into a tidal wave of force, obliterating buildings and trees instantly. Allen and Hedin watched in disbelief; any adventurer below Level 4 would have been crushed to death just by being near the epicenter.

The two figures poured every ounce of strength into their weapons. Under Ottar's strained, ferocious gaze, the scarlet energy began to erode the gold. The golden greatsword lost its luster.

CRACK!!

Finally, Ottar's sword reached its limit. The blade shattered completely above the hilt. Ottar's massive frame was sent flying back a hundred meters, smashing through stone walls. The air was squeezed out of his lungs as the masonry behind him buckled and collapsed into a mountain of dust.

The "King" had fallen.
