It was on Saturday evening, Sofy was on the road side buying pizza, she went for a run so she stopped by to get chops at the nearest fast food in Laty.
She entered and after placing her orders, she sat for about five minutes before realizing that a familiar figure was busy gazing at her from where he was sitted, she looked closely and saw it was Max. She was so shy and couldn't eat anymore so she asked the waiter to pack the pizza for her so she could take home.
As she stood up and went outside, she was shocked to see Max waiting outside, he approached her after she stepped outside
" hi Sofy "
" Hey " she muttered slowly still shy
" ehm, i haven't really talked to you "Max said as she gave him a smile and nodded sharply
" do you mind if I walk you home " He added
" don't you have somewhere to be " Sofy asked
" i wanna be around you "he said then muttered " always "
" well, what can i say " she replied with a quick smile as they started walking towards Sofy's apartment
" so where's your favorite place "Max asked
" Coffee shop, and you…? "Sofy replied
" Me too, what else do we share in common" Max said
" Hmm… I'm not a cool girl "Sofy replied
" I'm not also a cool guy, it's just that the way people sees me makes me want to have higher expectations for myself "Max said
" you know, you don't have to be cool for anyone, just be you "Sofy replied
" yeah "Max said calmly
" so you and Melvin….? "Sofy asked
" oh he's my best friend " Max replied with a smile remembering that his family is having dinner with the Eliot at 8pm
" oh, I think I can see my apartment from here, I'll go from here thanks "Sofy said with a cute smile
" alright then, catch you later "Max replied as they bid themselves bye then went their separate directions, Sofy couldn't imagine what was going to happen next but her heartached the more remembering that she doesn't know who she really loves and do they love her back was really hurting her. She has been on her thoughts lately.
THE ELIOT MANSION…..
Governor Wil and his son had arrived at the Eliot's mansion, after dinner Governor Wil and Dr Eliot were at the study room while Max,Melvin and Mirabel were at the very spacious balcony of the mansion.
" so Max, I've not really seen you since I came back, where've you been "Mirabel asked
" ehm, I couldn't find time to visit you "Max replied
" ouch, so I'm not worth your time "Mirabel said gesturing a fake moody face
" it's not like that Mira, school stuffs and you know how final grade is like "Max replied as Melvin and Mirabel burst into laughter due to the look Max gave
" Aww Max can be so clingy "Mirabel teased as she continued laughing
" So how's Capri, School, Mrs Ann, I sincerely miss high school and even Mrs Ann, she was so calm "Mirabel asked, she took Max and Melvin as her two junior brothers, she was always there for them and she made sure they're in the right paths
" Well, Capri is Capri as usual, Jenny and Laura left so Reina took over, and Capri is still the leader of their so called clique " Melvin replied
" And the Mrs Ann you knew have changed a lot, she's now a talkative that loves interfering in what does not concern her, she disgusts me now "Max added
" And school ? "Mirabel asked
" well, what can I say, school is in its usual form, learning is becoming a crime especially in this final grade, the only free period we have now is prep "Melvin complained
" That's how final grade is, they're just trying to prepare you for Final exams "Mirabel said
" But final exams are not until next year " Melvin complained again
" you complain too much, dear Max what do you have to say "Mirabel asked
" Well I have nothing to say exactly, as Melvin said, School is just in its usual form "Max replied
" Did your dad say you'll be sleeping over?" Mirabel asked Max
" I think so, My dad has some work to do, so the driver will be taking him home anytime from now "Max replied calmly
" okay okay " Mirabel said as they continued their discussion.
