Chapter 21 - Chapter 22

As mentioned before, Adamantium is a very special metal—indestructible. Once refined, its properties are nearly impossible to alter, and its form remains almost unchanged. Adamantium bullets are no exception—once molded, they are nearly impossible to modify. In fact, due to its unique nature, Adamantium even enhances the power of the bullet to some degree.

Wolverine is a great example!

Bullets made of ordinary materials, even shotgun shells, are useless against him—even a headshot doesn't matter.

But if it's an Adamantium bullet, once it hits his head, he would immediately lose his memory.

That's the difference!

That's the power of Adamantium.

However… using such bullets against Lu Yi is somewhat insulting. Lu Yi is no weakling like Wolverine, whose greatest strengths are his super regeneration and Adamantium skeleton. Other than that, he's actually not that impressive.

Lu Yi, however, is far stronger—from head to toe he has no weakness.

Exactly!

Adamantium bullets may increase their power—but by how much, really?

Even various missiles can't break through Lu Yi's defense. Would he be afraid of a tiny Adamantium bullet?

"Who is so vicious, yet so stupid, to come up with such an idea? Do they want to make me lose my memory again?"

Lu Yi didn't care at all, but the special forces captain couldn't help feeling thrilled.

He wasn't crazy—he had simply noticed something different.

Against all other bullets—depleted uranium armor-piercers or anything else—Lu Yi had always reacted the same: no reaction. He let them hit him without even blinking, and they fell flattened at his feet. But the Adamantium bullet was different. He actually reached out and caught it.

This seemed to show that Lu Yi was "afraid" of the Adamantium bullet. And the captain saw hope.

Great—finally, there's hope! We can do this!

Seeing Lu Yi's "fearful" expression, the captain gripped his gun tightly and, without hesitation, pulled the trigger again.

Bang!

Another bullet—this time with an Adamantium slug—shot out of the barrel, aiming straight for Lu Yi's eye.

This time, Lu Yi didn't block it. He let it hit his eye!

Clang!

At the moment of impact, a loud sound rang out and Lu Yi's head jerked backward, exposing only his smooth jaw—leaving the special forces members stunned.

The area instantly fell silent.

Only the still-falling shell casings remained, clinking against the ground.

Instead of breaking the silence, their crisp metallic sounds made the atmosphere even quieter.

But the silence didn't last long—suddenly, it was shattered by the shocking cheers of the special forces soldiers.

Yes, they were tough, but they were still human. Against Lu Yi, they felt real fear. Now that Lu Yi was "in trouble," they couldn't help but feel excited.

"Captain, you're awesome! You actually defeated that freak!"

"No matter how strong you are, in the end, our captain still took you down!"

"Captain, never mind anything else—when we get back, dinner is on me!"

"What do you mean on you? It should be me! My cooking skills are top-notch—barbecue and beer guaranteed!"

"Doesn't matter who pays—just stuff him into the box and get this done. Damn it, that was terrifying—I almost thought I was gonna die!"

"Right? Good thing the captain was amazing!"

Everyone showered the captain with praise, grateful he had "saved their lives."

"Alright, enough flattering! Ryan is right—lock him up quickly. Who knows what might happen next!"

Compared to the optimistic soldiers, the captain was far more cautious. He feared something unexpected might happen—and wanted this over as soon as possible.

"How could this even happen?" a soldier muttered in disbelief.

"How could it not?"

A voice suddenly spoke—but it wasn't any of the soldiers.

These people knew each other's voices well. The moment they heard it, they knew something was wrong. Following the voice, they found its source—the man who was supposed to be "in trouble," Lu Yi.

"How is this possible?!"

The captain panicked instantly, his eyes turning bloodshot!

"How could it not be possible?"

Lu Yi spoke again.

As he did, he slowly turned his head, slightly squinting one eye while looking straight at the captain.

At this moment, Lu Yi looked terrifying.

Because between his eyelids—he was holding a bullet. A still-hot Adamantium bullet.

A bullet… in his eye?

Are you sure this isn't a mythological movie? Did you walk onto the wrong set?

"You've really disappointed me."

"Run!"

"Run!"

The captain, pale as a ghost, screamed hysterically at his men.

"Don't run. All of you will remain here. This land will be your final resting place."

Lu Yi said no more.

His eyes suddenly turned scorching red, and two beams of crimson light burst from them.

In the next instant, a sweeping red ray cut through the special forces troops, slicing them all mercilessly in half from the waist. Colorful intestines and minced flesh splattered across the ground—making even Lu Yi's face turn pale.
