Dexter yawned and stretched as he got up from bed.
He walked over to his work table to start brainstorming ideas on the Laser Tech project.
"Energy? Energy? Energy?, how do I find a good source of energy?" Dexter mumbled to himself.

In the white house, the president was busy in his office when his advisor walked in.
"Sir you wouldn't believe it." His advisor said and paused to raise suspense.
"Why did you stop talking, spit it out already." The president said annoyed about the pause.
"Fine, you know that battle going on in Iran?" His advisor asked.
"Yeah? What about it?"
"What if I told you that all the terrorist have been killed would you believe me?"
"What!?" The president exclaimed in shock, "Are you for real?"
"Why would I lie about something like this." The advisor said in utter excitement but he soon became gloomy.
The president noticed and asked, "Why the long face?"
"Well, it wasn't exactly our soldiers that won the battle."
"Who won it?" The president asked curious to know the answer.
"Well according to reports, it was a man in a futuristic red colored suit."
"Suit!? Like Ironman?"
"Yes, something like Ironman."
The president went silent, for someone to have been able to create a suit that was powerful enough to terminate an entire Terrorist Group was something scary.
"Find out were this suit came from and bring him here." The president demanded.

Dexter had spend the whole morning brainstorming ideas for the laser tech project.
He was always getting stuck at a specific problem which was energy.
Laser tech required the concentration of energy on a certain point, for it to be able to cause damage it would take lots of energy.
Where to find tons of energy to power a laser was a huge problem.
To give perspective of how much energy he needed, just imagine all the power a city in California can use, that power would only be enough to power the laser for a few minutes, that is how much energy was needed.
As Dexter was still brainstorming he suddenly had a breakthrough.
"The entire universe runs on energy, so I would just invent an energy converter that would collect energy from the environment to power the laser." Dexter said as he scribbled his idea on a paper.
When everything was done, he asked for permission from Angela before heading to the California Military Camp.

In the Laser Tech Department, they had just received the news that not only would a new person be joining them but he would also be taking over as the head researcher.
Everyone in the department were angered by the turn of events.
They couldn't accept a new person taking over the research as they had already made lots of progress in the Research and the new person would only slow them down.
They made their arguments known to the higher ups but they were given the cold shoulder and were not listened to.
This made the already angry researchers even more angry, some even threatened to resign if nothing was done but nothing still changed.
Elizabeth was in the office of her father and she was reading an article that talked about all the internal strife that their camp was facing and couldn't help but look at her dad and ask,
"Dad why aren't you doing something about the whole researcher problem?"
"Well, it is because I want to see how good he is in working in this kind of environment." Patrick answered.
Elizabeth knew exactly who the 'he' in his statement was and couldn't help but frown.
"Why do you want to do this anyway?"
"Dexter is a young guy who has amazing intellect but he hasn't faced any situation that would really challenge him yet, that is why I am doing this, to see how he would perform in situations like this."
Elizabeth felt that what her father was saying seemed sensible, Dexter is the future of this nation and he would definitely be bound to face situations like this, it is better for him to face it now, so if anything goes wrong, her dad can still step in, but she still couldn't stop herself from being worried and she didn't know why.
Dexter of course had no idea what was going on in the military camp.
When he arrived he joyfully walked to Patrick's office, there was a certain spring in his step.
Patrick was still in a conversation with his daughter when they heard a knock on the door.
"Sir a Mr Dexter is here to see you." His assistant said.
"Oh, let him in."
Then Dexter walked into the office, he was given a surprise when he saw Elizabeth was also there but later realized it was normal.
"Dexter welcome." Patrick said as he extended his hand for a hand shake.
Dexter shock his hand as he said, "Thanks fo having me."
"So Elizabeth would you lead Dexter to the laser tech department."
Elizabeth nodded she also had to go there to.
On their way there, she was wondering whether she should tell him about the situation in the department or not, when she finally made up her mind to tell him, they had already arrived at the department.
As Elizabeth and Dexter entered the members of the department were stunned.
It then made them wonder if there new head of research was the commander's daughter, if it was they would be more understanding and accept the fact that they have a new head of research.
They didn't seem to notice the boy that was standing beside her until Elizabeth said,
"It seems you guys don't know how to welcome your new head of research, Dexter." She said and pointed at Dexter.
