The group set foot out again in the morning. Yesterday night, they spend all their remaining supplies for dinner and thus they are forced to search for it while traveling.
"The district center will be place for gathering of survivors in times like this. The vicinity of the district center will play crucial role for gathering supplies and I doubt that it was completely clear."
Xavier was right, the district center vicinity compromised of many malls and stores as well as residential area respected for its beautiful views.
The group thus, decided to go there but after scouting 1km far from the open district center. They was surprised that the most safe, walled section of the district was not in ruins.
The 5 meter tall concrete wall that surrounds the district center was half destroyed, its deribs flattened the land below and destroyed most of the nearby buildings in it.
Inside the city center, the supposed to be nourished park and ponds, was now messed with blood and flesh of those who seek shelter here but was unfortunate enough to met their killers.
Wyverns!
This large winged colossal reptiles was resting in the center itself. There is about 10 wyverns in the ground laid front as the largest of them, the alpha, having a red mark on his forehead, rest at the top of a small hill of corpse while feeding himself here and then.
There is also 20 more much smaller wyverns in the air, scouting and guarding the monster den. Their size is comparable with a common bus with wings double their size. The ones below are much more bigger in size.
"There is seems no reason for them to search for supplies nearby, eh?" Xavier and his group managed to climbed the tall walls and scouted in the top without being seen. The district center is compromised of two sections:
The inner which is the district central park which spans atleast 1km wide and the outside section being compromised of many commercials buildings like malls and artisan stores.
"But still, the way we went here is already looted." Daniel hid his body among the boulderes there.
"There, it seems the government is making their move here." Xavier pointed as he shared the binoculars with Noire.
At far southwest at their location, just west where they came from. A battalion of blue and black uniformed soldiers with various kinds of weapons be it modern or fantasy like are searching each buildings.
There is a flag with black background and blue strange symbols carried by some soldiers here and there that formed a wide translucent blue barrier that seems to be used to avoid the detection of monsters such as the wyverns that are flying in the skies.
"Hmm... Change of plans yet again." Xavier went down another floor as the group follows. "We don't have enough power to drive them off and rob them. Let's head east and search for monsters there."
"Mmm, they seemed to stems from the west side, at the capital district. We can assume that they didn't looted the east side yet."
"Let's farm there for now, if the two of you passed the 10 mark and we hit level 20, then we can have the chance to drive them off."
"Based on their use of weapons and inexperienced moves, let's asume that they are below level 5 as well as not suited for monsters combat."
With that, the group went down the tall walls to travel east of here.

"We located an orge den at the northeast of this district. Our first mission is to clear them out, and use the train subway station to ambush the other three stations." Hesta Estra, the new commander of the newly formed battalion of adapters who's infront of him.
Large number of soldiers, dressed in various clothes and armor according to their class. Each group containes atleast 5 frontier soldiers and atleast another 5 supporting rear soldiers. In a group of 10, there are atleast 10 groups here totaling to 100 of them, excluding Hesta herself.
She was suited in silver armor, covering only her arms and and legs. Her red hair was tied into a messy bun with eyes also red. Infront of her soldiers, she was charismatic, holding a pierced sword to the ground, it was 2 meters long and is colored in gold.
She took the sword off ground and lifted it high, at its peak, it glowed in golden light that illuminated the room inside the base.
"For the Righteousness!"
"For the Righteousness!" Followed the rest.
"I, Crusader Hesta, will lead all of you to reclaim this District!"
...
"Is the reclaimation of the surrounding districts going well?" Xian, sat in the throne with her raven hair cascading until her lap with chin held by hand, asked.
"The adapters battalion led by Crusader Hesta is currently reclaiming district 10, just west of here since they're the combination of residential and commercial areas." Fred, the young commander, answered her.
"Mmm, the soldiers she led, they're past level 5?"
"Yes, your greatness. Hesta is also level 10 before she went to the mission. I believed that she will level up again after that."
"Mmm, reclaiming the other surrounding districts should be prioritize before the progression of the new production."
"Hunt more monsters, let's abuse this shop for the last hours." Xian ordered.

It didn't take long for the group of Xavier to met another monsters. They traveled in packs of 20+. Furred humanoid bodies with wolf like head, standing over 2 meter tall.
Lycaons!
It was the peak of the sun when the group stumbled upon their rest. As of now they're located not too far from the district center and they can still hear the flapping wings of wyverns in the west.
This lycaons group was traveling with pack, led by a much more taller alpha with a red mark on his chest. There is also patrolling, seems to be weaker lycaons nearby them.
"I doubt they're past level 5, since orges are level 3 only and I believe that alpha is atleast in 10s." Noire, using the binoculars, shared her thoughts.
They're currently hiding in a tall building supposed to be a commercial facility, atleast inside the 1 km mark of the binoculars.
"It's too risky to face on. Daniel and Eleanor, you guys wait for the right time to hunt the patrolling groups, they seems to be weaker than the rest. The two of us will cause a scene in the center so that you would have your moment."
As of plan, Xavier and Noire went ahead first. They're already passed level 10 and is confident about their power. They avoided the patrolling group of weaker lycaons and entered the zone of the alpha's senses.
"Howl!"
The sun was at it's peak, the howl echoed through the area and the other sleeping lycaons immediately tensed up and turned their bodies to the two who's standing still infront of them.
"You'll take 10, I'll take 5, the other five outside is for the two." With that, Xavier dashed forward with inhuman speed and instantly arrived just beside the Lycaon Alpha who didn't managed to react as he was sent flying by a powerful kick from Xavier.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Xavier begun frantically slashing nearby lycaons who's also attacking him.
"Crimson Whistle!"
Noire was already finished conjuring a 1 meter long much more thicker blood spear in the air. Totaling to three as Noire managed to kill two lycaons nearby her using her katana, using their blood to kill their own blood relatives.
Weee! Weee! Weee!
The crimson long needle like spears whistled in the air as they chaotically flew in the air, killing all nearby lycaons.
Bang!
While controlling the whistle needles, Noire's mind is focused on it and barely managed to multitask as she formed a thick shield of blood from her reservoir, using augmentation just enough to warm them up and blocked the charged of the Lycaon Alpha who didn't managed to defend her pack.
"Ugh." Noire was sent flying off the ground, her blood shield cracked and immediately became another reservoir, coiling around her arms. Luckily, she and Xavier managed to kill all nearby lycaons, leaving the other five who's patrolling in the rear to Eleanor and Daniel.
"How strong is he?" Xavier helped Noire to stand as he quickly dashed to her.
"Level 2 strength, but that's all since his speed is not comparable to you."
"Grrr..." The Alpha stared at the two menacingly. Contemplating whether to avenge his pack or leave, but the two didn't give him time to think.
Swoosh!
Xavier dashed forward and gave a huge sword blow downwards but the Alpha was already anticipating this and used his two hands to block the blow, his wrist forming thick furs that layered itself to block the huge blow.
But it was too strong that the Alpha needed to redirect the attack downwards. He was about to recover his stance when a whistling sound resounded in his ears.
Weee!
Noire left one whistle needle behind earlier for emergency purposes and it did it task as it pierced the dodging Alpha in his left shoulder.
The Lycaon Alpha knew he can't fight the two, thus he didn't contemplate again and immediately ran away the opposite of the two, dodging a valley of translucent arrows that came from Daniel, barely dodging them while the rest strucked his other limbs.
Though, it didn't pierced well with the thick layered furs thus he got away, since the two also left him be.
Daniel managed to kill the other weaker lycaons while Eleanor used the Buff Agony to not stay in backline but also engaged directly.
And as expected, the four leveled up again.
