As she was falling to the ground. Eleanor used her 1st skill to enhance her physical body but even though she had enhanced endurance, it just barely protected her from the fall.
"Ugh!" Eleanor forced herself to stand up, applying "Dark Regeneration" to her broken left arm as she used it as a shield in the fall, all other part except from a portion of ribs is secured though the pain still lingers.
It will take atleast 1 minute and all my mana reservoir to heal this*
Eleanor walked away from the building, the lady of luck is on her side as she managed to barely miss the group of goblin zombies that also free fall from the 3rd floor. Their body crashed to the ground but still moving with shattered bones and mended flesh.
Eleanor still had enough mana to reserve and use so she didn't uncast her physical enhancement, making her pain go threefold.
Shit, it fucking hurts!*
Eleanor really wanted to uncast the spell but it would only make her even worse. The pain was just psychological effect and she endured it while running at a quick speed because of the enhancement, leaving the area and arriving at the north wall of the university.
It was near the dormitory so she arrived there quick and her speed in addition to that. She leaped and used a crack on the wall to touch the top of the wall and glided down the wall at the ground.
After securing her surroundings, she relieved herself from pain as she uncasted the spell. Remembering what Xavier told her, she made her way east while also sticking close to the wall.
Thankfully, the are around the university except the south was full of small forest, she was safe from monsters as they may only spawn at crowded places.
Eleanor was fully healed and was finally relieved from pain when she met other survivors. At the side of the wall, there are scattered survivors, one group crowded to each other to escape the forest and the other was too scared to go on crowded places.
This is all was illuminated by the moonlight from the pale moon, there is also some makeshift campfire here and there.
Eleanor was smart enough to not join neither of them as it would only bring trouble. She didn't became and was entitled as the Campus Goddess for beauty only. She was also one of the top five best performing students in the university, thus she had the intelligence for that.
She had some stock of supplies for her that atleast would last until tomorrow night and it still atleast two days before the time Xavier scheduled. Thus, she didn't go straight forward since even though she had her curves hidden behind in a heavy clothes, her blonde hair and herself itself will sparkle if she go further.
She turned and make a detour to the very edge of the small forest, safe enough for both the survivors and the monsters.
As she arrived in the southeast of the small forest's edge, she met a group of survivors. There are 3 holding either shield and sword and both, another 2 are equipped with long staffs. From their eyes that is illuminated by the moonlight, it is clear that they had lustful motives against Eleanor.
I was right that they would chase me until here, atleast there is less people and distractions.*
In fact, after arriving outside the walls, Eleanor started get stalked by a group of men in short, the men gathered here.
Eleanor was still naive, scared of being hurt and death since almost all human was and the act she made when she met the two is not a feint to attract attention, to begin with, Eleanor is no b*tch.
But after watching the two kill all those who blocked their way without fear and even having joy, as well as supporting them even in back lines. Eleanor grew from being naive and weak against death and now she smirk at them below the moonlight.
If I'm going to be killed, so be it. But I would not leave my body perfect for you, scumbags!* Eleanor cursed to her mind as she slowly walked towards them.
"F-finally, I thought I would be alone here." Eleanor said with a voice that hint weakness as she acted frail and trembling not from fear... From pain.
The guy in front, having a sword and shield, catched the falling girl in his arms, hands debating wheter to touch the curve right now or wait for later when the girl was knocked out.
"You're safe now, heh heh." The guy said with malicious thoughts. He felt the trembling girl when suddenly, he felt a blood gushing down like fountain in the back of his neck.
In the next moment, he slumped to the ground, a dagger stabbed in the area where is bleeding.
The moonlight was not strong enough for the other four to see what happened in the guy's neck.
Eleanor resisted the pain as she blurred from her spot against the moonlight, she appeared in the nearest guy holding a shield and sliced her crude dagger against the nect of the target.
Before even the guy can react, Eleanor already went and stabbed the nearest mage neck and when the two surviving guy know what's going on, Eleanor was already rushing at the two whos in the back.
This time, she hit a misfortune and was knocked away by a strong wind. It was casted by a mage beside the guy with sword.
Eleanor quickly stood up, by was hit again by a strong wind, pusing downward causing her unable to move even with +1 physical attributes.
"Ugh!" Eleanor struggled and was about to be sliced sideward by the guy's silver sword when...
Swoosh!
An arrow flew in the air and strucked the guy's head in death. Another flew towards the mage who's controlling the wind and was death upon impact.
Eleanor was still wary after being free from her containment. As she stood up, she glanced the way the arrow went and saw a silhouette of a man slowly approaching.
"Are you okay?" He said and under the moonlight, his figure was revealed.
Standing no more than 5 feet tall and a small but chubby frame, his face is that of a below the average makes him look like an otaku from those Eleanor watched in anime.
Eleanor was not like the two, though becoming more of it, but held her only dagger as she still guard herself.
"Thanks..." Eleanor hid her figure at a tree, just besides the corpse of the swordsman.
"No need to be wary, I also followed you because you were being followed by them." The guy didn't go near her and respected her guard as he stood just before the other corpse.
"I saw you fighting them, if weren't for the mage's wind magic, you would have made it." The guy remarked.
Eleanor still in shadows and just retrieved the guy's silver sword. After seeing the fat guy didn't seems to go away, Eleanor slowly retreated but before she can leave the shadow, the fat guy offered:
"You and I are skilled, let's team up!" It seems his word are a mix of force out of embarrassment and shyness.
Hmm... His shot are really well, I suppose. I'm not judging by looks but he also suddenly revealed himself and also followed me here... And his skill might be beneficial but also a threat to me.*
"What's your level?" Eleanor asked after contemplating for a couple of seconds.
"Level 3, Elven Archer."
"Alright then, follow me, I'll be the lead." Eleanor finally revealed herself and to her surprise, the fat guy didn't seem have a lust look on his face. Eleanor know this because as she grew up, she met many men even women that had the same face.
"I'm Daniel... Smith." Daniel, for what you call it, extended his arm.
"Eleanor." She shook his hand, feeling the somewhat rough texture.
After that, Eleanor didn't say any more words nor Daniel is, he just simply followed Eleanor after looting the other corpse of their shield, sword, staffs.
All them are class item but doesn't have additional attributes other than the shield and one staff that gives +1 on endurance and magic respectively.
"I wanted to take the staff, but it will not work."Eleanor wanted the staff but she can't get the attributes.
"It might because you already had a staff." Daniel pointed at Eleanor's dark staff she carried from the start.
"Take this shield, I'm confident with my speed and strength." Daniel handed over the wooden shield engraved with iron to the side and middle forming a small cross plated in gold. It was round and exludes a holy aura.
Even from the presence of it, Eleanor felt the disgusted within her. She doesn't know where it came from and why, but she kicked the shield away.
"Cursed weapon." She muttered before continuing.
Daniel looked at the shield but didn't brought it back, he followed her instead.
