Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Future Sky Knight

On this continent, the existence known as knights is characterized by extraordinary power, and the ranking of knights is strictly divided.

Starting from the Apprentice Knight that condenses the Life Seed, there are Apprentice Knight, Knight, Great Knight, Earth Knight, Sky Knight, and Holy Sanctuary Knight.

Among them, reaching the Earth Knight is considered the top combat power of the Kingdom, just like his father, Engel Dresrosa, who is an Earth Knight at his peak.

Earth Knights are already like this, while Sky Knights are the strongest in the Kingdom. Each Sky Knight can be said to be the true foundation of the Kingdom, the fundamental reason for the Kingdom's continuation. Thor never expected that today's daily intelligence would mention a Sky Knight, who was also the figure that unexpectedly obtained the Life Fruit yesterday.

Judging by the intelligence, it's clear that because he intercepted the Life Fruit that belonged to the other party, the other party's destiny took a turn.

The trajectory that should have changed after swallowing the Life Fruit once again returned to the origin.

"Maybe I should give it a try!"

Thor murmured to himself, a glimmer of restlessness appearing in his eyes.

There was even a thought of setting out immediately.

But after considering for a moment, he ultimately suppressed the idea.

He called for a servant to attend to his grooming.

Night passed.

When the morning sunlight poured in.

Thor awoke from his large bed.

This day, he did not train as usual; already being an Apprentice Knight, he no longer needed to train.

He glanced at the contents of the daily intelligence.

Then, taking along his three knights, he set out once more.

The destination was Lucerne Town.

An hour later, his figure arrived at Lucerne Town.

Faced with the return of Young Master Thor, the civil servant of Lucerne Town couldn't help but feel anxious as he came forward once again.

"Civil servant, I need to find a young man named Reine, whose father's name is Hunter!"

Thor spoke calmly from atop his horse.

"Yes, Young Master Thor, I will find him for you immediately!"

The civil servant was somewhat puzzled but quickly nodded, hastily leaving.

About half an hour later.

The civil servant returned with a document.

"Young Master Thor, Hunter lives in Luoye Village on the west side of the town. Please follow me!"

The civil servant's voice was respectful.

"Alright!"

Thor nodded, then spurred his horse to follow the civil servant to the destination.

Meanwhile.

In Luoye Village.

Inside a dilapidated house.

"Bang!"

"Useless, you're useless, you can't even buy wine!"

An angry voice sounded, followed by the noise of something heavy falling.

In the room, a middle-aged man with a red-tipped nose and disheveled hair was cursing angrily, while the youth in front of him huddled silently in a corner.

"Speak up, why don't you talk!"

"Where's the wine!"

The middle-aged man's angry voice continued, and the next moment he grabbed a wine bottle and threw it at the youth.

"Bang!"

"Crash!"

The wine bottle collided, shattering instantly upon impact with the head. The youth groaned, his head cut by the bottle's shards, allowing crimson blood to flow.

Yet even so, the middle-aged man remained indifferent.

"Useless, all useless. Reine, I'm telling you, without me, you would have starved to death!"

"Go, get me some wine!"

The middle-aged man's voice rose again, yet the youth remained huddled in the corner.

By now, the middle-aged man was growing even more enraged.

"What, you don't want to go!"

"If you don't go, I'll sell you. I've heard the nobility loves this!"

"Hurry up!"

He continued to speak, then picked up another wine bottle to throw at the youth once more.

Yet just as the bottle soared out.

"Bang!"

A flash of white light streaked past, shattering the wine bottle in mid-air.

Then a deep voice rang out.

"Stop!"

The voice caused the middle-aged man to pause, then grow even more furious.

"Good, very good!"

"You've actually brought strangers into our home, it seems like you really don't take me seriously, Reine!"

The middle-aged man was about to grab another bottle.

But at that moment, a somewhat cold voice interrupted again.

"I said stop, didn't you hear me?"

The words carried a chilling tone.

Instantly, several figures appeared in the cramped room.

Though dazed, the man finally saw who had come, instantly sobering him up.

"Clang!"

The wine bottle fell, and he collapsed onto the floor.

"Sir!"

Prone on the ground, the middle-aged man shivered uncontrollably, his heart sinking into boundless fear.

Yet clearly, Thor was unconcerned with this at that moment.

His figure bypassed the middle-aged man and moved to the corner.

"Are you alright?"

A gentle voice rang out.

The youth abruptly looked up, but quickly realized, attempting to kneel.

However, prolonged hunger and the recent beating caused him to stagger and fall forward.

Startled, Thor quickly supported the youth.

He swiftly began an examination.

As the Life Source Power circulated, he breathed a sigh of relief; the youth was not in any real danger, merely fainted.

Handing the youth over to a knight beside him.

Thor pondered briefly, then addressed another knight.

"Give him a gold coin, from now on, Reine has nothing to do with him!"

Thor spoke calmly.

"Understood!"

The knight nodded, swiftly taking out a gold coin and tossing it on the ground.

"Sir, Reine following you is a blessing for him!"

"Rest assured, sir, I will not contact Reine again!"

Seeing the glittering gold coin on the ground, the middle-aged man scrabbled over to retrieve it, offering profuse thanks.

Thor paid no attention.

He saw no reason to engage with such a person.

Giving a gold coin was merely for the youth's sake.

And nothing more.

His figure departed swiftly with the youth in tow.

While the middle-aged man continued to gaze at the gold coin, even biting it with his mouth, unable to hide the joy on his face.

He clearly did not yet understand what he was losing.

This was a Sky Knight, a being standing at the Kingdom's pinnacle.

Of course, he could never imagine that his much-despised son would one day become a Sky Knight.

To him, a burden exchanged for a gold coin was exceptionally valuable.

His original intention was merely to exchange him for some wine money. If the nobility offered two or three silver coins, that would be fortunate. Gold coins were beyond his wildest dreams.
