Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Reine's Terrifying Talent

Thor handed Reine over to Michael and didn't pay any more attention. He had great trust in Michael. As his father's right-hand man, his strength was unquestionable. An Earth Knight, he was the most powerful person in Dressrosa Castle, second only to Thor's father.

More importantly, this person was exceptionally skilled in teaching.

After being taught by Michael, even some of Thor's brothers had reached the stage of Great Knight Peak.

Moreover, under Michael's guidance, the Knight Order's ranks expanded beyond its original scale.

Entrusting Reine to Michael for guidance would be enough to lay a solid foundation for Reine.

However, even Thor had not anticipated this.

Reine's talent was more terrifying than he had imagined.

In less than half a month,

while Thor was still preparing matters to become a Pioneer Knight and gathering useful information through his intelligence network,

Michael summoned him unexpectedly.

"What?"

"Reine is preparing to break through to Apprentice Knight?"

Listening to Michael's words, Thor couldn't help but be taken aback, the words escaping his lips involuntarily.

"Yes!"

"Young Master Thor, I can hardly believe it either, but it's indeed the truth. Reine's Life Source Power has already reached abundance, and he should be able to break through to Apprentice Knight within the next three days. I'm planning to request a bottle of a Low-Level Life Potion from Lord Count."

Michael was equally astounded at this moment.

Even though he had witnessed Reine's talent in recent days, reaching this point still deeply shocked him.

Even for an Earth Knight like him.

He could confirm that Reine had never practiced any Knight's Skill before.

Yet in just a fortnight, the other was about to break through to Apprentice Knight.

This talent was almost terrifying.

To think that even he, once a renowned power in the Kingdom, took three whole years to condense a Life Seed, and even Lord Count Dressrosa took an entire year to do so.

Half a month to condense a Life Seed.

He could hardly imagine how high this talent truly was.

"Whew!"

"Thank you, Uncle Michael!"

"I understand, Uncle Michael. I hope you'll keep this confidential for me. Don't tell anyone except my father!"

Thor took a deep breath, then expressed his gratitude, and after a moment of contemplation, he spoke.

Even though Reine had become his Guardian Knight, to prevent any accidents, Thor didn't want this news to spread.

"All right!"

After a moment of consideration, Michael glanced at Thor, finally nodding.

"Thank you, Uncle Michael!"

Thor nodded.

"No need to thank me!"

Michael gave Thor a deep look, feeling some waves of emotion inside.

He knew that Reine was brought out from the common folk by Young Master Thor.

But being the most loyal Knight of the Dressrosa Family, he naturally knew what questions were inappropriate to ask, and that he shouldn't be curious.

After exchanging a few words with Thor, he started walking towards the castle.

Since he had said he would apply for a Low-Level Life Potion, naturally he wouldn't delay.

Thor did not follow.

Instead, after checking on Reine,

he continued with his work.

Meanwhile,

inside the study.

Michael had reached Engel Dressrosa's study.

He reported the situation.

"What?"

"You're saying that Thor's Guardian Knight is about to break through to Apprentice Knight?"

Hearing Michael's report, Count Engel Dressrosa couldn't help but be startled.

About his son's Guardian Knight, Count Engel Dressrosa naturally had some understanding, and had even sent people to investigate.

But that was the extent of it.

He hadn't paid much attention.

Just a Guardian Knight, and a commoner's son at that, what use could he be?

But he had never imagined that in just half a month, Michael would bring him such news.

Michael knew what had happened, so naturally, Count Engel Dressrosa knew as well.

Reine had never been exposed to any Knight's Training methods prior.

Yet within just half a month, he was about to break through to Apprentice Knight.

After the shock, Count Engel Dressrosa found it hard to breathe steadily.

"Right, I've confirmed it!"

"With the current state of his Life Source Power, there's a seventy to eighty percent chance of breakthrough!"

Michael nodded again.

And seeing his Knight Commander affirm once more, the count began pacing back and forth, his eyes flickering continuously.

Michael didn't interrupt, quietly waiting.

Moments later.

Count Engel Dressrosa paused.

"Charlie!"

He called out.

Soon, the door opened, and the butler, Charlie, came in.

"Fetch a bottle of Low-Level Life Potion from Cabinet No.1, first row, the seventh item, no, the third item on the first row, and also the fifth item from Cabinet No.2!"

Count Engel Dressrosa commanded.

"Yes!"

Charlie, a bit taken aback, nonetheless nodded briskly.

"Michael, I'm aware of the matter now. About the Low-Level Life Potion, I'll have Thor deliver it later. You can go back now!"

After giving his instructions, Count Engel Dressrosa addressed Michael.

"Yes!"

Michael nodded, not particularly surprised, and swiftly departed.

After Michael left, Count Engel Dressrosa had a servant summon Thor.

Thor was still preparing, but hearing his father's summons, he had no choice but to head to the study.

When Thor arrived,

Charlie had already returned with the items.

"Father!"

Thor spoke respectfully.

With his words, Count Engel Dressrosa didn't speak immediately, but instead gazed deeply at his son.

Thor didn't dare speak, keeping his head down respectfully.

Luckily, Count Engel Dressrosa didn't continue staring.

Instead, after a brief consideration, he spoke.

"Thor, you've done well!"

"Here is a set of Silver Armor, and a bottle of Mid-Level Life Potion. You may give them to your Guardian Knight!"

With his words,

upon hearing his voice, Thor couldn't help but raise his head instantly, a hint of surprise in his expression.

Silver Armor, Mid-Level Life Potion.

He never expected his father would be so generous.

A set of Silver Armor alone was worth over a hundred gold coins, not to mention the Middle-Level Life Potion, which was useful even for a Great Knight breaking through to Earth Knight, and valued at no less than a thousand gold coins, and practically priceless.

And here his father was, asking him to give these to Reine.
