Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Count Engle's First Lesson

"Father!"

Thor spoke instinctively, his gaze involuntarily turning to his father, Count Engel Dressrosa, with a hesitant and somewhat shaken expression.

"Thor, you must understand that even though Reine has become your Guardian Knight, a Guardian Knight only represents loyalty, not anything else. As a qualified Lord, you need to demonstrate your benevolence, your tolerance, and your authority!!"

Count Engel Dressrosa's words rang long, carrying an indescribable undertone.

Thor was momentarily stunned, but soon his expression became solemn.

Evidently, his father, Count Engel Dressrosa, was currently instructing him.

Thor naturally harbored no resistance to this.

As a Count,

Count Engel Dressrosa possessed wisdom and experience that Thor could not compare to, even though he was a transmigrator.

Seeing Thor's expression, Count Engel Dressrosa also showed a satisfied look.

He pondered slightly before speaking again.

"Thor, the path of a Pioneer Knight is not an easy one!"

"To truly become a capable Pioneer Knight, the first thing you must learn is how to win people's hearts."

"Currently, you are the Young Master of Dressrosa Castle, and the glory of the Dressrosa Family can shield you. But once you become a Pioneer Knight, this glory will fade away. You need to rely on your own wisdom to build your domain and lead your people."

"Reine is excellent; his talent is the strongest I've seen so far. If you can truly earn his allegiance, he will be your greatest ally in the future. Your talent may not be strong, and I did not have high hopes for you, but my child, you seem to have surprised me."

His words began seriously, then broke into a smile.

Hearing his father's words, Thor was startled, instinctively wanting to speak, but he was stopped by Count Engel Dressrosa.

"Everyone has secrets, and I need not delve into yours, for you are my child!"

"You are now, and will be in the future, work hard!"

"I look forward to my child becoming the eagle of the Dressrosa Family."

Count Engel Dressrosa chuckled lightly, not dwelling on his son's issues, instead gesturing for him to leave.

"Yes, Father, I will not disappoint you!"

Thor nodded, his expression serious.

Soon after, servants quickly came forward, helping Thor don the Silver Armor and providing him with Life Potion.

As he watched Thor depart, Count Engel Dressrosa's eyes flickered, a smile on his face.

"It seems I indeed underestimated him!"

"A truly unexpected surprise!"

"Charlie!"

With a soft call, Count Engel Dressrosa summoned once more.

"Yes, my lord!"

The butler Charlie entered, his voice respectful.

"Go and fetch the second box from my first storage room!"

Count Engel Dressrosa's thoughts returned, speaking with a smile.

"Yes!"

Charlie nodded and swiftly left.

"Thor, I hope you won't disappoint me!"

Saying softly, Count Engel Dressrosa returned his gaze to the book in his hands.

At this moment, Thor, who was departing, was unaware that because of Reine, his father was preparing to invest further in him.

Knowing this, he would likely be delighted.

Of course, even now, he was already very pleased.

With the servants, he arrived at the training grounds.

At this moment, Reine was still training.

Compared to half a month ago, Reine's body was noticeably stronger, no longer as frail as before.

His vitality and spirit had also noticeably changed.

Thor was very satisfied with this.

And after waiting for a moment,

Reine, breathing heavily, finally stopped, not bothering to wipe the sweat from his brow, and quickly trotted over.

"Young Master Thor!"

Reine spoke with respect, giving Thor a knightly salute.

"Not bad!"

"It seems you've worked hard these past few days!"

"Here's something as a reward for you!"

Thor chuckled, then waved his hand.

Two servants quickly came forward, placing a large and a small box before Reine.

"Young Master Thor!"

"This!"

Reine instinctively wanted to refuse, but was stopped by Thor.

"You are my Guardian Knight, you shouldn't be so poor. Open and see!"

Stopping him, Thor then spoke with a smile.

"Alright then!"

"Thank you, young master!"

Reine, though still somewhat hesitant and apprehensive, recalled Thor's words and complied, carefully opening the larger box.

As the box was opened, a silver gleam appeared, immediately catching his eyes.

"This is a piece of Silver Armor; even when you become a Great Knight, it will still serve you well!"

Thor laughed lightly again.

"Thank you, young master!"

Reine quickly spoke with respect, his hands trembling slightly.

At this moment, he was no longer a novice. Having trained under Michael, he understood the value of Silver Armor very well.

Now that he had obtained one, his excitement, trembling, and gratitude towards Thor were imaginable.

"Now look at the other one. It will suit you even better now!"

Thor gestured towards the smaller box.

"Yes!"

Hearing Thor's words, Reine was a bit nervous but carefully opened the other wooden box.

The box wasn't large, quite small. Inside was a small glass vial containing a green liquid.

Seeing the green liquid, Reine was initially puzzled, then found his breath becoming heavy, an incredulous look appearing on his face.

The green liquid was even more valuable than Silver Armor, immediately reminding him of something, yet he found it hard to believe.

Because that item was too precious.

So precious that he couldn't imagine it.

If Silver Armor was something he hoped for when he began learning the Knight's Skill, this other item was unimaginable because it seemed impossible.

"This, this is a Life Potion!"

Speaking, Reine looked at Thor, his breath turning ragged.

"Yes, this is a bottle of Mid-Level Life Potion, nearly ten times as valuable as a Low-Level Life Potion. With it, you can definitely advance to the Mid-stage Apprentice Knight!"

Thor spoke with emotion, looking at the Life Potion before him. To be honest, if not for the daily intelligence system, he might have wanted to keep this Life Potion for himself.

After all, he hadn't drunk one himself.

It's true that each direct descendant of the Dressrosa Family receives a Life Potion each year, but the problem is that it is not a Mid-Level Life Potion, it's a Low-Level Life Potion, the values of which are incomparable. With this one, he was confident Reine could step into the Mid-stage Apprentice Knight.
