Jenifer's POV
The second Eliza stepped through the door, I could tell from Elise's expression that she sensed trouble brewing.
Elise had been devouring every piece of online drama lately, which meant she knew exactly who Eliza was—my mother-in-law, and someone who clearly despised me with every fiber of her being.
Honestly, Elise marveled at how I'd managed to endure all those years with such a toxic woman breathing down my neck. The woman deserved a medal for survival.
"Don't worry about it. You can go," I told Elise, giving her a reassuring smile that said I had everything handled.
But Elise planted her feet instead of leaving. She moved closer.
"Ms. Zach, Mr. Randal showed up again. He's sitting in the reception area," Elise informed me.
I saw Elise's lip curl in distaste; the mere thought of Richard seemed to make her stomach turn.
I paused, connecting the dots about who she meant.
"Put them in the conference room," I decided.
