Without any intention, accidently I had entered the territory of the Worm Of The Forest And Earth and this creature was strong enough to take my life and that of Dilo.
Dilo was faster than it on the land but if it tried to approach us from underground, we will most likely be dead.
Without making much sound, I slowly commanded Dilo to walk ahead slowly.
THUMP THUMP THUMP
The sound was still there of Dilo's movement but it was not as much as before.
I could feel slight vibrations in the ground. The Worm Of The Forest And Earth was right under our feet.
I was trembling, sweating with fear.
The Worm Of Forest And Earth covered the area coming under the radius of 7km.
It's own length was around 1km.
There was a big tree on our right side but it was not as big as the Leader Of The Forest.
I could hear sounds of crimson leaf squirrels coming from the branches of that tree.
Crimson leaf squirrels are the squirrels which can only be found in this forest. They have long tail compared to all. It is around 34cm long. There eyes were really wide and they are of white color, total white.
Their fur is of crimson color. They are bigger in size compared to squirrels which can be found in real life.
They were omnivores depending on the situation. If there's no food on the trees, they would hunt down small insects, mouse and all to eat and sometimes hunt each other down for territory and food.
There were around 2 crimson leaf squirrels fighting on one of the branch of that tree. I couldn't see them as my vision was blocked by the leaves.
The vibrations coming from the ground reduced every second. This means that the worm was getting further and further from me.
This was a sign for me to run away from it's territory silently. It was not ignoring us but couldn't detect us.
I commanded Dilo to slowly increase it's speed. Even the Dilo was quite afraid. I could see from it's ugly expression.
We weren't doing any unnecessary hurry because we didn't want to attract any attention from that ugly worm.
But my luck was not that good. I was the Cursed Player of this game, how could my luck be this good.
"We just need to walk like this for few more minutes and we will be out of it's range, just go like this Dilo. "
I whispered to my Dilo in a scared and nervous voice.
And there was it, my bad luck. Those squirrels while fighting for something fall on the ground with a BADHUMP sound and started fighting on the ground again.
I looked behind rapidly in a fear. My expressions were really ugly, sweat all over my face. Same was with Dilo.
We knew that we were going to die now.
The Worm Of The Forest And Earth emerged from the ground below those two squirrels and in the blink of an eye ate both of them.
It was a really ugly creature. Really big and wide.
It was even wider and bigger than the Leader Of The Forest.
There were numerous tentacles emerging from it's mouth of dark brown color.
It's own body was of blood red color. There was no eye on it's body.
It was a really ugly and disgusting creature. We were like ant to it.
It had no eye, it sensed it's target from the vibrations of their body. If we don't move, we will be safe, unless it spreads out of the worm gas from it's mouth.
Worm gas was a technique used by the worms of this world who can't see to detect every life form around them.
It was same as detecting life forms from their body heat.
I was breathing nervously and so was the Dilo.
There was no unnecessary movement in our body but the necessary one might also get us killed but there was also no way to stop them.
Right now I could only hope for the best.
The worm remained still for few seconds, it's ugly tentacles moving in random motion.
And then there was it, the play of my Cursed Player title.
The worm used the worm gas. It was lime colored gas coming out of it's tentacles.
It covered the area around us in just few seconds.
I took a breathe and it was really disgusting.
I was ready to vomit there and so was the Dilo.
But it was not the worst, the worst was that now it knew that we were there too.
And so it moved it's head towards us, it's tentacles around 12 meter away from us.
I screamed with ugly expressions, "Run! Dilo! Run! "
But there was no way that we could out speed it.
It would catch us in no time, doesn't matter from underground or on the ground.
Because there were legs on it's body which I didn't think it would have as there were no legs it had in the novel.
"Did they changed it's body composition in the game? "
I said to myself in scared voice.
We were running for our life.
But then, the Worm cried. It was a really loud and ugly cry.
Dilo kept running and I looked behind.
The Worm had a wound on the back of it's body. It was a cut but it was not deep enough to kill it from blood loss.
And there was someone, a girl on top of it's body.
A sight I couldn't forget, a sight which was nailed in my memories.
