Chapter 18 - Chapter 18. Skill Tree

[You have successfully rolled a B-rank equipment Rigid Sunglasses]

"Rigid Sunglasses, are you kidding me? "

Of course I was disappointed. I was hoping for Sun Wukong or one of his equipment but what I got was the Rigid Sunglasses.

They were mainly used for fashion and were developed by a scientist of Human Realm.

Their purpose was for fashion but they hold one power—Weak Point.

They could detect any entities' weak point including a player.

That weak point would serve as the biggest disadvantage for the enemy as a strike on it would be critical but their was a defect in these glasses.

They would show the weak point randomly. Sometime they won't, and sometime they would.

There was no proper explaination for this defect in the webnovel.

They looked like every other sunglasses and were totally useless.

But something is better than nothing and so with a heavy sigh and disappointment, I wore them.

Though my looks are really average, these glasses looked good on me.

After a long stretching of my hands I stood up and called Dila for the last hunt of these Mini Elves Eating Plants.

Dila looked at me, gave a cry and stood up.

I called out to my weapon and got on the Dila.

***

Around one and half an hour passed and I was at level 14 and was very near to level 15.

In front of me was a group of around 7 Mini Elves Eating Plants and with a dash and couple of swings, I beheaded them.

[Your weapon {Rodrigo's Wrath} has leveled up to level 2]

[You have unlocked Rodrigo's Wrath's skill tree]

[Your weapon {Rodrigo's Wrath} has recieved 2 skill points]

"Oh, finally it advanced to level 2 and it's skill tree is available too now. "

"Thank god my title didn't mess up with it. "

Skill tree, one of the most beneficial aspects of a weapon and characters.

Characters have different skill tree and weapons and other equipments have different.

In case of my Rodrigo's Wrath, it's element was rage. And it's skill tree contained skill related to rage.

"Open Rodrigo's Wrath's skill tree. "

After my command, two screens opened up infront of me. One contained the information about the quantity of skill points I had and other about the locked and unlocked skills of my weapon, Rodrigo's Wrath.

[Rodrigo's Wrath's skill tree]

[Available points: 2]

[Unlocked skills: 0]

There was a whole skill tree, which started from the trunk and went to the roots and the branches and leaves.

First, I had to choose the type of trunk I wanted.

There were two choices of skills and they were the beginning skills I could choose which required 2 skill points each and I could only choose one and then follow it's roots and branches and leaves.

[You can choose either of these two skills as the trunk of your skill tree]

[Lion's Rage]

[Info: This skill is mainly for offensive purpose. This skill attack power is heavy and all the derivatives of this skill contains heavy power too. But the only disadvantage of this skill is that during the move it slow downs the player briefly. In this skill, Rodrigo's Wrath is covered by orange-brownish aura which takes shape of a lion and attacks the enemy—wounding them severely or even killing them and also giving them a random debuff]

[Skill level: 1]

[Required skill points: 2]

[Serpent's Vision]

[Info: This skill has a good attack power. This skill also gives a random buff to the player. All the derivatives of this skill provides little buffs to the player but they are not suited for full offensive battle. In this skill, the weapon is engulfed by reddish aura which takes shape of a serpent and strikes the enemy, dealing great damage.]

[Skill level: 1]

[Required skill points: 2]

Of course, for a player who hasn't read the webnovel, Seven Sceptre, they would have a difficult time choosing one of these skills if they got Rodrigo's Wrath in the beginner's gacha. But as one of the biggest fan of that novel and being one of the few people in the world who finished it—I knew which skill I had to choose.

And of course it also suited my play style—Serpent's Vision.

But for what reason?

It was simple, a full offensive skill which would slow me down would put my life in danger and there was very less chance of it hitting the enemy if my enemy had great speed. It's debuffing power was good for the beginner's but for long run, it was useless as most of the hostile NPCs and players had artifacts which could remove the debuffs.

But as the Serpent's Vision would not slow me down and give me random buff which would come very handy in the long run.

It was not as much offensive as Lion's Rage but still, for the long run it was better as it's derivatives were lot better than Lion's Rage's derivatives.

"Use all the skill points on Serpent's Vision and unlock it. "

[You have successfully unlocked your weapon{Rodrigo's Wrath}'s skill—Serpent's Vision]

The moment I unlocked it, the skill tree's trunk became brownish on that part where that skill located and slightly green colored reached to it's leaves and brownish to roots and branches.

"Now I can go and finish my first quest. "
