Chapter 28—Introduction to Buggy

After some time, we arrived at Orange Town.

Once we landed, I scowled. "Look at this place. It's completely desolate. You can't even find a single person around."

Kuina raised her eyebrow.

"How about we go beat Buggy first?"

Nami was also fired up, clearly thinking about Buggy's treasure.

"Yes, we're pirates, so it's perfectly fine to rob Buggy of everything he has."

As we walked deeper into town, we heard voices nearby.

"Hee… look what we have here. A group of beauties."

"Yes, since you've walked into the territory of the great Pirate Buggy, you'll have to serve us. Come with us."

Two pirates stepped forward. They were trying to intimidate us seeing us as easy targets.

Before they could even take another step, Lily leapt in and flattened both of them with a rapid barrage of punches and kicks.

A spark lit up in Nami's eyes. She stepped forward and said, "Take us to Buggy. I'm sure he has something that belongs to me."

She then turned toward me, Lily, and Kuina.

"Even though you three are strong, just be careful."

The three trembling pirates led us to Buggy's base camp quickly.

The Buggy Pirates were in the middle of a wild banquet. The entire place looked more like a circus than a hideout.

Before Kuina or I could react, Lily caught the smell of food and immediately dashed forward. She sat among the Buggy Pirates, happily eating and drinking without a care in the world.

Nami turned to me and Kuina, her eyes silently asking, "Is she mentally ill?"

My face heated with embarrassment. We had come here to crash the party, yet Lily ran straight in to eat with the enemy.

I was also irritated. I wanted to finish the Buggy arc quickly and head toward Syrup Village to meet Kaya. Since I had just upgraded my attributes, I already knew Buggy was no challenge. I didn't want to waste time here.

So I grabbed one of my slippers and shouted, "Hey! The guy with the big red nose—yeah, you! Stop looking around; I'm talking to you."

Buggy instantly flew into a rage the moment he heard "Big Red Nose," veins bulging on his forehead in pure fury.

"Who the hell are you, brat? And my name is Buggy, not Big Red Nose! Don't insult people's names!"

I grinned and aimed the slipper.

"I don't care who you are. Were you the one who destroyed this town? Because of you, we couldn't even find drinking water when we landed. Do you know how pissed off I am?"

"But I'll give you a chance. Hand over your treasure and crawl out of Orange Town right now. Then we'll only beat you lightly. Otherwise… I'll take that big, round, red nose and use it to dye the sea behind you red."

Everyone froze. The entire tent fell silent as jaws dropped. Every single pirate turned toward Buggy in horror as everyone knew he hated anyone mentioning his nose.

"Ka-ka-ka-ka…" Buggy's face twisted with rage. "You damn brat! Go die a spectacular death! Buggy Spinning Darts!"

He threw a barrage of knives at me, but I used my observation Haki to dodge effortlessly and launched the slipper straight at Buggy's face.

Bang!!

"CAPTAIN BUGGYYYY!!!"

Buggy flew backward, smashing through tables and sending food flying everywhere.

"Boom! Crash! Clang—!"

Lily finally stopped eating and stepped forward, wiping her mouth.

"Alex, leave Buggy to me."

I simply shrugged. I wasn't interested in dealing with him anyway.

"Alright, do as you like, but make it quick."

Everyone turned toward the cloud of dust where Buggy had landed. As it settled, he stood upright, completely unharmed, flanked by his two lieutenants, Kabaji and Mochji.

Seeing Kabaji effortlessly balancing on a unicycle with swords, Kuina's eyes sparkled. "Lily, leave the guy with the sword to me."

"Got it!"

Buggy sneered as he was glaring at us. "Who are you people? Bounty hunters?"

"Nope. We're pirates. And I'm going to kick your ass!"

"Oh?" Buggy narrowed his eyes. "So, you came for my treasure? Or is it like that slipper-wielding idiot said?"

But ignoring his questions Lily took a deep breath, and yelled, "BIG! RED! NOSE!"

The words boomed through the air dramatically.

"Ka-ka-ka-ka!" Buggy's eyes bulged. "That straw-hat bitch! Go die a spectacular death!"

And just like that, chaos erupted.

Lily charged straight at Buggy, while Kuina squared off against Kabaji.

Mochji lunged at me, but one solid punch sent him sprawling to the ground, out cold. The fight was over before it even began. Even the lion, seeing its master get flattened like a ragdoll, bolted in terror.

'Hehe… this lion's smarter than it looks. After all, it made it to the Grand Line without dying,' I thought with amusement.

Meanwhile, Nami had quietly slipped away. She was clearly hunting for Buggy's treasure.

With my side of the fight done and the rest just small fry, I found myself growing bored.

Not far off, Kuina and Kabaji were clashing fiercely. Their swords were carving arcs of steel and smoke.

Kabaji grinned with arrogance. "So, you're the famous bounty hunter from the East Blue, Swordwoman Kuina. Today's my lucky day! After I defeat you, I'll be famous across the seas!"

Kuina scoffed, unfazed. "My goal is to become the world's number one swordswoman. How could I possibly lose to a nobody like you? Let's fight, bitch!!"

I quickly grew bored of their fight and turned my attention back to Lily's duel with Buggy instead.

As I neared the spot where they were clashing, I spotted Nami sneaking out with two large packages.

I grinned and walked over. "Little Cat, found some treasure?"

Nami clutched the packages tightly. "Hehe…Yes but since I found them first, they're mine!"

"What's yours? Those are mine!" Buggy stormed over, furious. "Give me back my treasure!"

Nami stood her ground, a self-righteous smile on her face. "What nonsense! I stole them fair and square. They're mine now!"

Buggy's knives spun menacingly between his fingers. "You little bitch—prepare to be magnificently—"

Before he could finish, a stretched-out fist shot out of nowhere.

"Bastard! Your opponent is me!" Lily shouted.

Bam!

Buggy flew straight into a wall. Nami blinked in shock but she was secretly letting out a relieved sigh.

Of course, Buggy climbed back up, ready to continue fighting Lily. But he was too distracted, constantly chasing Nami and worrying about his treasure. In battle, that kind of distraction is fatal.

And, as expected, it was exactly what happened—Buggy was blasted away.

"Lily, you fought too slowly, didn't you?" I teased.

Lily scratched her head, looking frustrated. "That guy's really weird! He kept splitting into pieces. If I hadn't noticed his feet couldn't leave the ground, I'd have had no idea how to beat him!"

Kuina walked over. She was also smiling as she had defeated her opponent pretty quickly. "Looks like you guys finished your battle too."

We were talking when townsfolk suddenly appeared out of nowhere. They were brandishing weapons such as household items.

I knew the story of this town—how Buggy and his crew had captured Orange Town, terrorized the villagers, and how Luffy had arrived by chance, teamed up with Nami, defeated Buggy, and freed the town. It was in original manga.

Technically, we had done the same thing. But I was too lazy to explain it, so before anyone could react, I grabbed Nami and run toward the ship.

Kuina was dumbfounded, not sure what had just happened.

When she finally processed it, she looked at Lily. "So… what now? Are we running too?"

"Y-Yeah… we run too!" Lily agreed.

After finally shaking off the angry villagers, we regrouped, boarded our ship, and set sail, leaving Orange Town behind.

But before leaving, I did not forget to leave some treasure behind.

….

….

[Scene Change]

We continued our journey. I was felt a surge of excitement as I was wondering what adventures awaited us.

'Finally… I'm going to meet the blonde beauty Kaya. And she's going to become the ship's doctor… Hehehe,' I was thinking about Kaya with a lewd grin.

Lily was sitting at the bow. She was enjoying the breeze when she suddenly shouted, "Hey! There's an island ahead!"

"What a drag… Finally, we can go ashore!" Kuina muttered as she was barely containing her excitement.

As soon as we landed, Kuina stepped onto solid ground and sighed. "The land just feels… more solid."

"Of course it does," I said. "Let's buy some food and restock our supplies. We're running low on food and drinks."

Lily's eyes sparkled, and she grinned from ear to ear. "Then what are we waiting for? Food! Food! Food!! "

After we'd walked for a short while, Kuina suddenly froze and shouted, "Guys, watch out!"

Shoot! Shoot!

Several marbles rolled onto the ground, clattering loudly. From the bushes, a long-nosed figure suddenly jumped out in front of us.

I immediately recognized him—it was the sniper king, God Ussop, looking just like he did in the original manga.

'Thank goodness he's not female. I like him, but a female version would have been… way too weird,' I thought, shaking my head in amusement.
