Yukiri's perspective:
'The first time I picked up that blade was the first time I actually felt something. It wasn't a deep scratch not really', but the adrenaline still spiked when Kiori suddenly knocked on the door. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I scrambled to throw a bandage over it, but when I finally pulled the door open, she was just standing there, radiant, practically screaming that our uniforms had arrived.
Watching her bounce around, I couldn't help but wonder 'how she managed to get her tail that incredibly fluffy. Honestly, i kinda want to touch it.'
We tried on the uniforms. 'They actually look pretty? At least the school let the students style it slightly, enough for me to throw a cardigan over the top to keep everything hidden. Kiori, on the other hand, looks absolutely adorable. I probably shouldn't say anything, but she's just cute. I've only known her for a week, but she is already the sweetest person I've ever met.'
'I just noticed how much of a boy I look like with that binder... Why am I even wearing it, even though I can be a girl here? It's starting to hurt...'
Before Class: At Breakfast (Lorelei's POV)
'Angry lizard keeps mumbling something about Yukiri being a girl. Honestly, it's hilarious that he never figured it out until now. I mean, it's kind of obvious: her name sounds feminine, and her voice is quiet and soft... though, to be fair, she does wear a binder. Maybe that's what threw him off? Either way, Souki's sense of people's gender is genuinely concerning.'
I take a bite of my breakfast, watching Souki absolutely freak out in real-time. He's muttering under his breath about how he talked to a girl "so casually," completely blown away by how different she looks. His red hair makes his face look even more like the tomato on my plate.
And she does look different. It's not just the uniform, she actually took the time to fix her hair for once, and the neatness really suits her.
Meanwhile, Yukiri is just sitting there chewing her toast, looking more confused by his morning meltdown than anything else. I glance down and notice her tail is slowly, softly wagging.
Hm... cute.
