Where am I?
The unfamiliar surroundings made me wary. I found myself in a room resembling a starry sky, but I couldn't see any familiar constellations.
"Calm down."
An unearthly voice rang out, full of warmth, touching the very soul.
"Unfortunately, you died, but you have been given a second chance to be reborn in another world."
I wanted to ask who he was, but changed my mind. After all, in life, I was an avid reader who had spent over 500,000 hours reading fanfiction.
"You will be given three roulette wheels. One of them will contain the world you will be transported to, the second will contain a special energy like chakra or magic, and the third will contain a special ability."
As soon as he finished speaking, a wheel of indescribable size spun before me, which, by my humble estimate, was three times the size of the Earth.
On it, I saw worlds like Harry Potter, One Piece, Marvel, and so on. There were even worlds I didn't know the names of. Mustering up my courage, I pressed the button and the wheel began to spin. Images of different worlds flashed before me, and the wheel finally began to slow down until it stopped, revealing an image of a yellow-haired boy with blue eyes and a mustache. I caught my breath as I realized I was about to enter the world of Naruto. It was my favorite anime, even though I'd never read the manga, but I've read countless fanfictions about it.
"Am I really going to Naruto?"
I asked the mysterious being in a slightly hoarse voice.
"That's right, but the place, time, and appearance will be randomized, only your gender will remain constant."
"Thank you so much for giving me a second chance; I'll use it wisely."
"I hope you'll overcome your regrets about your past life, but for now, let's continue."
Soon, the wheel changed and became noticeably smaller, no bigger than a dartboard. It only had a few options (Ether, Chakra, Natural Energy, Magic), and so on. I eagerly pressed the start button and waited. The wheel soon stopped, displaying a purple sphere emanating a suffocating pressure, as if I were at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and if I weren't dead, I wouldn't even know how I died. The pressure soon disappeared, and I felt a pleasant coolness in my navel. I leaned over to look and discovered that I had no body, only a transparent, bluish soul. In my navel, I saw the same sphere, which somehow ended up there.
"Ho-ho, interesting. You've been granted the power of the universe itself, but observing your past life, I understand you won't abuse it." Something spoke to me with a laugh.
Yes, it was the ether. That which is above all.
I decided to quickly continue and test my own abilities. I summoned the third wheel, stunned with shock. It was so enormous that it defied my mind's calculations, but I told you it was definitely at least three googolplexes, and the variations were no wider than a sewing needle. I pressed the button and waited. Soon the wheel stopped, and a glowing window appeared before me.
[Congratulations on successfully linking the training room. In it, you will be able to challenge countless beings in the miniverse.]
I've already forgotten how many times I caught my breath, but with it, the excitement of the upcoming adventure grew.
"Well, we've finished, it's time for you to set out on your new adventure and your new life. I'll give you one more small parting gift, and I wish you good luck," the mysterious being spoke again.
I bowed deeply and thanked it profusely. Soon everything around me went dark, and I lost consciousness.
