—Tired.—Exhausted.—Stressed.—Failed."Never thought I'd reach this low in my life."
The awareness of Vinne knowing he's reached the lowest point of his life.
For 5 years, He's failed through 4 Boarding Exams unallowing him to get into a University. At this point, He's had many thoughts of quitting but has never actually done so. He continued and continued trying to succeed just to make his parents from above proud somehow, someway.
—Vinne lays down in his apartment's bedroom, In full distraught of what to do next after failing another exam. He's out of pocket money and he's on his last few thousands of savings which are for his last attempt of passing Board Exams.
—All of a sudden.. He receives a text from his Uncle Noel.
"Kamusta' Vinne? Things going great on your end? I've just gotten back home from Australia. I've got some souvenirs for you and your other cousins! If you ever got the time to, come take a little visit back at our home place! I tell ya' kid, Jayce and your other cousins misses you."
—After reading all this.. Vinne was considering of coming back. He thinks a little break from all this stress would help him refreshen up a bit.. Though being a little short on cash, He still decided to go as this could help him reconnect with his family again.
Vinne replies.."Welcome back Tito! I'll have that visit planned by Wednesday.. maybe I'll even stay there for a few days.. Hahaha, shits' been stressful lately."
Uncle Noel replies.."Alright kiddo'! I'll see you soon."
—Right after that moment, Vinne stood up from his bed and began to cancel all his plans that said week and immediately closed off Wednesday for his visit.
A few days later, The day has come and Vinne arrives in their little home town.. Remembering the little moments and childhood memories he has had here growing up.He knocks on the front gate of their big compound.. Seeing a bunch of newer Project Cars his uncle brought back from Australia and newer unfamiliar ones that weren't there on his last visit 4years ago.No response from the knock he gave so he just opened it by himself by slipping his hand through the small design gaps on the gate.
—As soon as he opened the gate, He gets greeted with some of their old dogs.. Choco and Pyuto who were Vinne's pets that he had to leave behind.After a few moments of Vinne patting and greeting his dogs.. Uncle Nowel comes out of the garage and notices Vinne's arrival.
UNCLE NOEL : "Ah Vinne! 'nandito ka' na pala! kamusta, 'toy? How was the trip?"VINNE : "Ay Tito! I'm doing good! 'ikaw ba?"UNCLE NOEL : "Things been good! come right in.."
—Vinne comes right in the compound's garage as he sees a few new cars he always thought he'd never even see in person such as a Mitsubishi Eclipse 1998, Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, and a Toyota Celica 1999. Seeing these cars immediately amazed Vinne as he never would've ever thought that he'd have a chance to see them.
VINNE : "These all yours..?"UNCLE NOEL : "Yeah.. Transported them from the other side of Japan, They're so rare especially the Celica. Next up on the list is to modify them and join some Drag race or maybe even Rally Races.VINNE : "You plan on bringing these to Rally races? god damn.UNCLE NOEL : "Yeah, fuck am I gonna do? all that modify and tuning work over nun'?"VINNE : "Ah, fair enough,,"VINNE : "What about Car shows though?"UNCLE NOEL : "Ehhh.. The reward prize from them isn't much, unless it's hosted by some millionaire then I'd shit on everyone else."VINNE : "Ah.. touché"UNCLE NOEL : "Oh, by the way. Jayce is at the back garage. Go meet him, you kids' haven't seen each other in a while."VINNE : "Ah.. Jayce.. Alright."
—Vinne walks around the garage.. Seeing all these Cars that are soon to be modified, some of them even having their hood up as if they're a work in progress of being modified.As he walks through the back of the garage.. He sees an old Honda Civic EG Hatchback that has someone under it that's fixing it while having their legs exposed in the front end of the car..
VINNE : "Yo..?"
—As Vinne said that.. The person was startled and immediately accidentally hit his head on one of the pipes of the car under it..
(?) : "Ow!"
—He immediately moved him self from being under the car as he sits down..
VINNE : "Yo! Jayce!"JAYCE : "Ow.. Oh… Yooo!! Vinny! I didn't think you'd actually come back.. Jesus christ, you've gotten taller since we last met..VINNE : "You haven't grown a single inch bud."JAYCE : "Aight bro.. you still a shrimp though"VINNE : "Yo' ass didn't even graduate highschool though"JAYCE : "You couldn't even finish Boarding exams, Don't talk."
—A quick silence between the two…
VINNE : "Anyways, how's it been?"JAYCE : "Shits' been good.. what about you?"VINNE : "Ehhh.. Just failed another Boarding exam. My 4th one specifically.."JAYCE : "You' that stupid?"VINNE : "Shut yo' ass up, Dropout."JAYCE : "Ahh fuck' off."VINNE : "Anyways, This your daily drive? (The Civic.)"JAYCE : "Nahhh.. just got this off Marketplace! I'm tryna' modify this and run it off in a Street race."VINNE : "Facebook marketplace? for how much..?"JAYCE : "About 95k Yen.. shit was cheap!"VINNE : "God damn! and you tryna' turn this cheapshit into a Race car?"JAYCE : "Pretty much yeah.."VINNE : "Might as well bring me when you race this.. I never even knew you race."JAYCE : "It's… Illegal Street racing.."VINNE : "That just made it sound better.'JAYCE : "Tryna' be a criminal racer. —A fewer hours later.. Vinne is sitting at the rooftop of the family house, Just rethinking and trying to piece out things for his current situation with his current state in life. He's in despair as he drags his cig' every few minutes to let out his stress through smoking..Jayce approaches him and sits beside him..
JAYCE : "Yo, You good?"VINNE : "Just chillin', why?"JAYCE : "You seem stressed, anything you been bottlin' up?"VINNE : "Eh.. The shitty boarding exams.JAYCE : "Eh.. At this point, why don't you give up? You've tried 4 times already.. can't you just give up and find something else you wanna pursue in life?"VINNE : "I'm not going anywhere in life without a degree, y'know that?"JAYCE : "You jokin'? I'm legit modifying cars and gettin' my cash back in one race! WITHOUT FINISHING HIGHSCHOOL!"VINNE : "You're just dumb as fuck.. plus you're doing ILLEGAL Street races.. You could be jailed, y'know that right?"JAYCE : "Money is money, Fucker. You don't need no degree to get money, shiiit' you can even ask me for some and I'll slide you."VINNE : "I'm not that kind to ask for money.. makes me look like I'm begging."JAYCE : "Ahh fuck it'! If you're in need of cash just hit me up. I really don't mind, plus.. we're a family! isn't that what families are for? looking out for each other?"VINNE : "Fair enough.."JAYCE : "Now, stop stressin' around and let's get going to that race.. The two went down the rooftop into the garage.. As Jayce starts his Civic EG Hatchback that was heavily modified and even engine tuned by him and their Uncle Nowel, Vinne sits down in the passenger seat seeing how customized the interior is. The car itself has a Roll cage, with Unique Racing Chairs, Rally steering wheels and even more.Jayce turns on the radio and started blasting music.. As he began to drive off the drive way of the house and started going on their way to the Car meetup.
