-----------------------------------------------

The trip up north to Dalaran had Alastor and his escort fly across the land and mountain ranges where they came to their first stop, The Kingdom of the Bronzebeard Dwarves.

Khaz Modan also known in the common tongue as Ironforge!

They had to stop at Khaz Modan to get some supplies but also because they needed to identify themselves before continuing on their way.

But since Alastor was Royalty he had to also visit Ironforge and meet with Magni Bronzebeard, The Thane of Ironforge and the King of kingdom of Khaz Modan.

This was to show appropriate respect to a ruling king as he was taught.

Which Alastor didn't mind, Stormwind and Ironforge had a friendly relationship and he was very curious about the Dwarves as well.

--------------------------------------

After landing in Ironforge's landing area, Alastor flanked by Windsor and Gavinrad entered Ironforge's great gates led by a Dwarven escort to meet with King Magni in the throne hall.

'To think the Dwarves were able to perfectly carve such a grand city within the mountain range without compromising it's structuural integrity is nothing less than grandmaster level work'

Alastor watched the city amazed as he entered the huge gates as well as the many dwarves going about their business noting that even the most basic tools they used from the tech he could see were very high quality!

'Greatest Craftsmen and Forgers indeed' Alastor thought in respect but then he felt a twitch in his lip as he saw a dwarf passed out drunk in a cart being led out by another dwarf...while still in the cart.

'Right.....Can't be Dwarves without their ale'

-------------------------------------------------

Finally Alastor, Windsor and Gavinrad entered the throne room of the Thane and saw Magni Bronzebeard on his Stone throne.

"My Thane I have brought Prince Alastor as you requested" The Dwarven escort replied gruffly as he kneeled to Magni.

"Thank you Orin" Magni nodded at the Dwarf who moved away as he turned his gaze at Alastor who bowed in respect to the Thane.

"Greeting of the Hearth! Great Thane of Khaz Modan"

"To you as well Prince of Stormwind, Welcome to Ironforge, I hope you weren't overwhelmed by view"

"Not at all if anything I was amazed seeing the ingenuity in how Dwarves were able to use natural support as well as shared structural mapping to not only make the city but also allow for future expansions"

Magni's eyes widened in surprise he did hear that Llane's adoptive son was somewhat of a monstrous genius and tech savvy but did he actually come to that conclusion on the way to the Throne room?

Not to mention what he heard about him possessing legendary combat powers.

"Hahaha most wouldn't realize how our underground cities are made unless they did some extensive study and yet Lad you came to that conclusion with just moving around? I can see why the people call you a miracle child"

"Boy! let Ironforge host you, afterwards you can be on your way"

And like that it was decided that Alastor and his escort would stay for a time at the Dwarven Capital under the hospitality of the Bronzebeard King.

--------------------------------------------

In his stay Alastor was given a tour of the underground citadel, he saw the great forges of the Dwarves, their cavernous and massive halls depicting their past glories as well their culture and their histories.

The Dwarves also seem to worship a God of Forging which they call "The Maker".

Alastor in this time was amazed by the Dwarves mastery of forging as well as their grasp of fundamental knowledge.

While Dwarves were a stubborn race and not known for their innovation and advancements their grasp and mastery in the fields they did have a hand in was amongst the best if not the best.

Especially when it came to forging and metal works of almost any kind similar the to the Elves own mastery over the arcane.

Many times their new technologies were based on their own version of existing tech from other races with humans being the most common.

In the time Alastor stayed he had suggested paths of advancement in multiple technologies of the Dwarves and even demonstrated it much to the Dwarf forgers amazement.

His knowledge and his powerful combat capacity had earned the respect of many Dwarves even King Magni.

And then there was....Dwarven Ale.

Dwarves loved their drinks as much as they loved forging and craftmanship to the point there was a saying in Azeroth.

You can NOT outdrink a Dwarf.

(AN: May the Light have mercy on the universe when Space wolves and Dwarves meet)

And despite Alastor's Primarch physique being able to quickly and efficiently break down practically everything he ate he found that when offered Ale by Magni he did end up dropping dead drunk.

What in the name of the Light was in that Ale!?

Alastor had also met Magni's wife Eimear who reminded him of his own mother Taria as well as his daughter Moira who he entertained with stories and tricks to her joy.

He was starting to think perhaps he was a natural with kids.

Alastor also met Brann Bronzebeard who he saw as free spirit with a heart for exploration suffice to say he enjoyed hearing his stories of his travels across the planet and his adventures.

Magni mentioned he had another brother who went by the name Muradin Bronzebeard but he was currently at Lordaeron serving as a ambassador.

----------------------------------------------------

When the time for Alastor and his escort to leave again, Magni hosted a feast for him in Honour of the Dwarve's new friend.

As the Dwarves showed their hearty and boisterous attitude to the soon to be departed human friend.

...And ended up getting Alastor dead drunk once again as Alastor was forced to leave with a killer hangover despite his body already working on healing him.

Alastor found that he was starting to very much dislike Alcohol and made a note to research or find a detoxification spell.
