Valeri turned to Michael who laid on the bench. "Why are you here? Valery asked. Michael ticked his tongue and crossed his arms. "They don't think I'm good enough to start." He said as he glared at the field. Valeri got in a more comfortable position and stared at the field alongside Michael. "You should be happy you're on varsity as a freshman." He grabbed Michael by the head and leaned as he stared into the field. "Study it Michael. Watch Kanade play." Suddenly the crowd went silent as a serious look was placed onto Michael's face. "I don't want to be like him. Imitating the best in order to become enough, that's disgusting. I want to see everything and control the game and decide who gets to be the star. I want to be the cause of everything." He stood up as he stared at Kanade with such intensity Valery couldn't do anything but smile. "I don't want to see the future or analyze the past. I want to be responsible for a present that only I can see."
"And what if you get benched for that?" Valery said with a chuckle. Michael raised out his arms and introduced the crowd to a new type of play. One that no one could predict. "THEN I'LL MAKE THEM THE CLOWNS OF MY PLAY! NOTHING GETS IN THE WAY OF MY TWISTED DESIRES!" "Oh really?" Michael launched his face inches away from Valery's. "Really!"
Kick off began and Kanade scanned the field. Jaylon charged toward him. "GOD'S CHOSEN 11 MUST BE HELLA EASY TO GET INTO IF YOU'RE THERE!" Suddenly everything went silent as the sound of a clock ticking ran through the ears of everyone on the field. Kanade lowered his stance and dashed past Jaylon. No one could even process what had happened before he was running towards me. I readied myself for his speed but he quickly nutmegged me and continued to move forward. At the speed of light Yoichi dashed at Kanade to steal the ball but he flicked it up and kicked it forward. He jumped over Yoichi and stood in front of the box. Every defender ran his way but no one could stop him. He dribbled past every last one of them until it was just him and the goalie. The goalie dashed at him and crashed into his chest, causing him to fall over.
But he predicted that, he flicked the ball up and his teammate came out of nowhere and kicked the ball into the net. Suddenly the crowd went silent as the sound of a clock ticking ran through the spectator's head. Kanade rubbed his nose and stood up slowly, looking up at the sky he let out a silent sigh. But the crowd's screams pierced the heavens as they witnessed something only he could produce. Kanade, a genius among prodigies, got ready for clutch time. Only 15 minutes left with the score 3-1. Can he do it?
