Chapter 30 - Battle War North 2

The war in the North erupted with ferocity far exceeding all expectations. Unlike the chaos of the West or the decadence of the East, the North reigned supreme, governed by unwavering laws and gods of iron will. Amidst the devastating snowstorm of Golden Mana clashing violently with the beastly forces from the Dark Side, a legendary figure of the North slowly emerged from the icy mist.

It is said that since the beginning of time, a god was born into the ultimate luxury and glory of the Northern palace. But instead of joy or pride, this god was always filled with a profound sadness and melancholy at the artificial perfection of the Divine Realm. His melancholy and alienation were even openly criticized by the Creator God of the North as a flawed emotion, an unworthy weakness for a supreme being.

The turning point in his life occurred when his father's life cycle ended. His father—a powerful minister—had died a natural death, a result of the universe's law of rebirth. The young god presided over his father's funeral. During the ceremony, upon hearing the gods' empty lamentations about "eternal happiness in the afterlife" or "holy providence," a flame of enlightenment suddenly ignited in his mind.

He realized that all the doctrines and glories of the Divine Realm were merely empty happiness, a self-deceptive charade. In a moment of madness that shook the entire Divine Realm, he suddenly took the coffin, carried his father's body to the sacred fire, and burned away all the ornate coverings to confront the true nature of decay.

After personally burying his father in the most primal way, the god cast aside all his family, titles, and luxurious glory. He set out alone, traveling to the distant mortal world. It's important to remember that human civilization at the time of his arrival was still incredibly primitive and blindly worshipped deities. Instead of forcing people to kneel and beg like other gods, he blended into the flow of life, using his hands and power to help the poor, bestowing genuine joy and teaching them how to find peace of mind. From then on, humanity respectfully called him by the name - "The God of Happiness."

Now, this God of Happiness stands on the northern front line, shielding the God of Fantasy and the God of Death. His attire is simple, not resplendent with gold, but radiates a warm energy, a complete contrast to the cold, illusory mist of the alliance.

"I do not fight for the empty throne of the Divine Realm," the God of Happiness slowly raised his compassionate yet resolute eyes to look at the God of Fantasy. "But I fight for the peace of the people below. Your hatred will destroy the fragile balance they currently possess."

The God of Fantasy paused slightly before the pure spiritual pressure of his opponent. A being who had transcended Good and Evil, he understood that the god before him was unlike the vain gods out there. This would be a battle between two wills, two highest levels of enlightenment in the North.
