Asher's warning lingered heavily in Aurora's mind. Her gaze slowly dropped toward the little snow lion standing protectively near her feet.
Until now, she had only seen the tiny creature as an unusually intelligent cub that somehow attached itself to her after tasting roasted fish. She never once considered that simply keeping it around could potentially land her in trouble.
Aurora's brows furrowed slightly.
What exactly had this little thing dragged itself into her life?
The cub noticed her gaze and immediately looked up at her innocently, blinking its bright blue eyes as if completely unaware of the dangerous implications surrounding its existence.
Aurora almost sighed. Of course it looked harmless. It was fluffy enough to emotionally manipulate people on sight. Still, she turned back toward Asher and nodded sincerely. "Thank you for the warning."
