Aurora carefully removed the final silver needle from Asher's shoulder before placing it together with the others atop the clean hide cloth beside her. The wolf alpha had remained completely motionless throughout the entire acupuncture session, which honestly impressed her slightly.
Most modern people from her old world would have panicked after seeing even three needles, yet this man sat there with over a dozen embedded in his body without even twitching.
"Well," she muttered while wrapping the needles safely back into the hide bundle, "you are definitely easier to work with than expected."
Asher merely watched her silently.
Aurora placed the wrapped needles aside before standing and stretching lightly. The delicious scent drifting into the cave immediately reminded her about the meat cooking outside.
"Oh-" She turned quickly toward the entrance. "The meat should be ready soon."
