Aurora stood outside her cave with her hands on her hips as she examined the area she had chosen for her future kitchen.
The left side of the cave entrance was easily the better option.
Unlike the cramped right side where a massive ancient tree occupied most of the space, the left side spread wider and flatter. It offered enough room to eventually build not only a stove but also a proper preparation area and perhaps even storage later.
Aurora nodded to herself. This was the perfect spot.
Without wasting more time, she got to work. She had already formed a rough kitchen layout inside her mind earlier. The floor needed to sit slightly higher than the surrounding ground level. Otherwise, rainwater during storms would flood the entire area instantly.
Fortunately, nature itself provided most of the materials she needed. There was loose dirt and soil scattered all around the cave from years of erosion and uneven terrain.
