No one—absolutely no one—expected that Izumi would go that far.
Not even Minamiya Natsuki, who had seen all kinds of insanity in her long witch life.
Yet the moment she saw the explosion swallow Saikai Academy, she was convinced:
That boy is beyond salvation.
Even the members of the Lion King Agency were trembling like newborn deer.
"W-was that… really magic?"
"So scary… way too scary…"
The ruin that used to be a school was now a smoking wasteland.
Students, teachers, residents—everyone in the city stood frozen at the sight, stunned into silence.
Within minutes the entire city fell into chaos as emergency departments sprang into action.
But—almost immediately—they received an order:
"Do not interfere with the incident. Restrict access and evacuate civilians."
Search officers even blocked the surrounding area to stop curious bystanders from getting too close.
Meanwhile, in the old building of Kuoh Academy, Rias, Sona, and the others stared blankly at the distant explosion.
Sona adjusted her glasses, looking genuinely confused.
"I've heard that in some places on the mainland, students hold deep grudges against their schools."
"Their dream, starting from elementary school, is to blow up the building."
"…Izumi-kun wouldn't happen to be fulfilling that fantasy, would he?"
"Even though Saikai Academy isn't his school… he still blew it up."
Silence fell over the room.
Akeno giggled softly.
"Well, Izumi-kun does seem to have a fondness for explosions."
"He blew up Koneko-chan once, then destroyed the church in Itogami, and during the King's Game he traumatized poor Raisa with an explosion."
"Those siblings still refuse to leave their house."
"And today? He summoned meteors and blew up someone else's school."
Everyone stiffened.
Now that she said it…
It was true.
Izumi had blown up a lot of things.
Koneko muttered with a deadpan expression:
"Explosion maniac…"
"At this rate… he's going to blow up our school someday."
Everyone shuddered simultaneously.
It wasn't even a joke.
It was a terrifyingly real possibility.
Kuoh Academy had already been destroyed once in a different dimension.
If it happened again… that would be the end.
The title "Explosion Maniac" was becoming uncomfortably fitting for Izumi.
Back at Saikai Academy—
As the shockwaves faded, the three Progenitors finally let out the breath they'd been holding.
At least they managed to block the worst of it.
Izumi, satisfied, walked back into the ruins with Le Fay and the others.
There wasn't a single undamaged spot left on school grounds.
In the center of the shattered field, surrounded by massive impact craters, knelt the battered Kaleid Blood, gasping for breath.
Izumi approached casually.
"So, how was it?
Getting your face smashed by a meteor feel good?"
"And how'd it feel not being able to run away?"
The Kaleid Blood lifted her head, her expression hollow.
"Kill me."
"Just kill me already…"
She wasn't an idiot.
From start to finish, Izumi had toyed with her in the palm of his hand.
A so-called Progenitor—reduced to a joke before a human.
Izumi chuckled.
"So you've accepted it?"
"Well then, as you wish."
He raised his hand, grabbed her head lightly, and pulled.
A pitch-black soul was ripped cleanly out of Avrora's body.
The moment it separated, Avrora's mature form shimmered and collapsed into her petite, loli-sized body.
Izumi's eyes sparkled with satisfaction.
"Yep. Avrora definitely grew a bit."
Beside him, Megumi's expression twisted in horrified recognition.
A loli who can switch sizes at will.
This was bad.
A natural disaster in the making.
Izumi tossed the dark soul into his system storage without hesitation.
With the Kaleid Blood removed, Avrora regained full control of her body.
She staggered up, immediately scrambling behind Asia, eyes watery.
"H-How could you…!"
"You hit me so hard!!"
"Uuu… you bully…"
She had been fully conscious while Izumi bombarded her with spells.
It was traumatizing.
Especially the last meteor drop—
She had nearly burst into tears on the spot.
Izumi looked at her with pure disdain.
"Pull yourself together, Avrora. That was embarrassing."
"You're the true Fourth Progenitor now."
Avrora stared back at him with teary eyes.
As if she wanted to be the Fourth Progenitor.
After being beaten half to death, who would want this job?
"You big bully…!"
Unable to bear the humiliation any longer, she buried her face into Asia's chest and sobbed loudly.
Izumi sighed deeply.
Even stuffing all twelve familiars into her couldn't change the fact that Avrora was a crybaby.
He rolled his eyes.
Megumi stepped in, face twitching slightly.
"Okay, Izumi-kun, stop bullying Avrora."
"More importantly… you should be thinking about how you're going to deal with this."
She pointed at the completely obliterated remains of Saikai Academy.
Izumi had nothing to say.
Surely the devils had magic to fix this… probably… maybe…
Before he could answer, the three Progenitors approached.
The First Progenitor stepped forward.
"May we speak, boy?"
Izumi glanced at him.
"Oh? The First Progenitor?"
"What's there to talk about?
Or are you planning to take Avrora away?"
His tone sharpened noticeably.
If that was their intention, he would simply beat them down.
The Progenitors all exchanged exasperated looks.
They hadn't even said anything yet.
The First Progenitor shook his head.
"No, that is not our intention."
"I have no objections to the Fourth Progenitor staying with you."
"I only wish to know—what is your stance on relations between vampires and humans?"
He locked eyes with Izumi, waiting for his answer.
Vampires often harmed humans while feeding.
Humans had no love for vampires.
And now, a human capable of altering the balance had appeared.
The First Progenitor wanted to know his position.
Izumi shrugged.
"Does that have anything to do with me?"
"If people don't bother me, I won't bother them.
But if someone pisses me off, I'll delete them."
"So if some human gets hunted by a vampire… that's their bad luck."
"There's no way to reconcile the two sides anyway. Even if I wanted to intervene, would other vampires listen?"
"Or are you saying they obey your every command?"
He waved a hand dismissively.
"So your question is pointless.
Things are fine as they are.
Let everyone do whatever they want."
Izumi truly had no interest in the politics between humans and vampires.
