Chapter 82 - Chapter 81: Grand Kai’s Planet?

"This is what Goku looks like after transforming into a Super Saiyan! That terrifying aura is absolutely no weaker than Vegeta's back then."

Witnessing Goku's current state, Tien Shinhan's voice trembled.

Not just his voice—his entire body was unconsciously shaking.

At this moment, Tien Shinhan couldn't help but recall his past encounters with Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament and the training that followed.

From enemies, to friends, to comrades-in-arms—even though he was now dead.

A sense of emotion and defeat surged through him.

What was the point of being unwilling now?

In just two and a half months, his strength had increased to the point where he could rival Frieza's 530,000 battle power before transforming.

Yet even so, he was still hopelessly weak.

There had once been a gap between them, but it was never this absolute.

Now, the power he possessed couldn't even block a single attack from Super Saiyan Goku.

This overwhelming strength shattered his worldview and crushed the last bit of hope he had for the future.

Anyone would feel this way.

Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, and Piccolo were no different.

They had worked desperately to grow stronger—but one transformation from Goku rendered all their efforts meaningless.

"I always thought that after coming to King Kai's planet, as long as I trained hard enough, I could at least close the gap a little," Yamcha muttered bitterly.

"I never imagined the difference would be this unreachable. Super Saiyan… it's just too powerful. Compared to Saiyans, we Earthlings have no advantage at all…"

His voice was filled with desolation.

He had trained relentlessly, and his progress was real—but the distance between them only grew wider.

A deep sense of powerlessness settled in his heart.

He wanted to say more, but no words came out.

He was happy for Goku.

And yet, he was painfully sad for himself.

In the past, he could still stand beside Goku.

Now, he didn't even have the qualifications to do that.

The era had advanced too quickly.

He had been left behind—even if his current strength was a hundred times greater than before his death.

What good was a power level of 200,000 now?

"From the Saiyan invasion until today… everything has changed," Chiaotzu said quietly.

His body trembled slightly.

He understood it clearly—he had been completely eliminated.

Compared to Yamcha, he was in an even worse position.

Although his power had grown tremendously, the stronger he became, the smaller he felt.

Now that they had stepped into the cosmic stage, many things were simply beyond their control.

Chiaotzu's eyes were filled with conflicted emotions.

Unwillingness burned deep inside him.

At the edge of the group, Piccolo also sensed Goku's aura.

A trace of disappointment flickered in his eyes—only for an instant.

Piccolo never allowed his emotions to show.

All that could be seen on his face was seriousness and resolve.

"Hmph! Even if you've become a Super Saiyan, don't think you've completely left me behind!" Piccolo roared inwardly.

"I'm not like Earthlings. Now that I've truly awakened as a Namekian, I'm no longer who I used to be. Our race will never be weaker than Saiyans!"

He would not admit defeat.

He would not willingly fall behind.

Even if reality was cruel, his belief remained unshaken.

He would become stronger.

He would find a new path forward.

Staying on King Kai's planet was no longer enough for him.

With his current strength, he could already defeat everyone here single-handedly.

He could venture deeper into the Other World—even into Hell—and face powerful evil beings directly.

Only by experiencing life-and-death battles could true growth be achieved.

A warrior should advance fearlessly.

Sensing the shift in their mentality, King Kai spoke.

"It won't be easy for you to catch up with Goku now. If you don't find the right path, you probably won't have any major breakthroughs for the rest of your lives."

The four exchanged complicated looks and remained silent.

The gap between them and Goku was like an unbridgeable abyss.

"King Kai… is there any way for us to gain even greater power?" Tien Shinhan finally asked.

At once, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo all listened intently.

Even the members of the Ginyu Force leaned in.

They were warriors too.

They all longed for strength.

Under King Kai's guidance, their power had already increased severalfold.

"Well… there is a way," King Kai said slowly.

"In the past, you definitely wouldn't have qualified—but now, you barely do. And since you died protecting Earth, your merit is sufficient."

"Grand Kai's planet?!"

"Merit?!"

"So besides the four Kai planets—East, West, South, and North—there's also a Grand Kai?"

"Does that mean there's an even stronger Kai above them?!"

Excitement erupted instantly.

Everyone stopped paying attention to Goku and focused on the idea of Grand Kai's planet.

Who wouldn't seize a chance to become stronger?

They had only resigned themselves to fate because they lacked direction.

Now, hope had appeared again.

If Vegeta knew what was happening here, he would be shocked.

Not only had Grand Kai's planet been mentioned earlier than expected, but King Kai intended to send Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo there before their resurrection.

Planet Yardrat

It had been some time since Vegeta completed his breakthrough and fully stabilized Super Saiyan Full Power.

After consolidating this ultimate state, Vegeta calmly exited the transformation.

He spoke briefly with Bulma, explaining why his breakthrough had taken longer than expected, then bid farewell to Korin and Pibama.

They had already decided two days ago—today, they would leave.

Outside the spaceship, Vegeta, Bulma, Hera, and the others were fully prepared.

The ship was stocked with enough supplies to last two to three months.

As for energy, Bulma had already coordinated everything with Hera.

Otherwise, they would have needed to refuel at Frieza Planet 79.

After waving goodbye, everyone boarded the ship.

The engines ignited.

They departed Planet Yardrat.

Leaving a place they had lived for two months carried a strange sense of nostalgia.

After this departure, they didn't know if they would ever meet again.

At least, not anytime soon.

Standing on the observation deck, Vegeta spoke calmly.

"Partings are always unpleasant. But all good things must come to an end. We don't belong here."

Bulma was the most affected.

She genuinely liked Planet Yardrat and had grown fond of its people.

After a long pause, she spoke softly.

"I know… I'm just a little reluctant. After two months together, you can't help but feel attached."

Vegeta nodded and pulled her into his arms.

"I understand. When we have time, we can come back for a vacation. Don't forget—you'll be their benefactor in the future. Our connection with them won't end here."

"So our destination is Frieza Planet 79?" Bulma asked.

"Of course," Vegeta replied.

"What I promised you will be fulfilled. They received my orders two months ago. Everything should already be prepared."

He then looked at Hera.

"You said it takes twelve days to reach Frieza Planet 79 from here."

"Yes," Hera answered quickly.

"At maximum speed, it'll take twelve days and twelve hours."

Vegeta was about to speak again—

Suddenly, a powerful aura entered his perception from the depths of another galaxy.

It wasn't unfamiliar.

In fact, it was extremely familiar.

And it had completely surpassed Frieza and King Cold.

It might even rival their combined power.

"…Kakarot."

Vegeta smirked.

"That bastard actually broke through at this moment."

Bulma's eyes widened.

"You mean Goku became a Super Saiyan too? You can sense that from this far away?!"

"With my current strength, I can sense multiple galaxies instantly," Vegeta replied calmly.

"Aura isn't limited by distance. As long as the target's power is strong enough—and familiar—I can lock onto it."

Bulma nodded, half understanding.

"Then… couldn't you just use Instant Transmission to take us directly to Namek?"

Vegeta chuckled.

"You miss them, don't you?"

Bulma smiled.

"I'm not petty. I was annoyed back then, sure—but it passed. With a husband like you, shouldn't I be proud?"

"Of course," Vegeta replied without hesitation.

Bulma pressed closer, smiling brightly.

Vegeta tightened his arm around her.

"Stop the ship," he ordered.

"I'll use Instant Transmission. We're going straight to Namek."

Five days from there to Frieza Planet 79.

And maybe—just maybe—he could skip the ship entirely next time.

As Bulma looked at him with excitement, Vegeta narrowed his eyes.

This timing…

Perfect.

If they met again, another battle was inevitable.

And Vegeta had been waiting for it.

"I hope you don't disappoint me this time, Kakarot."
