As soon as they entered the spaceship—
Freed from the gazes of Son Goku, Krillin, and Gohan, Bulma finally let out a breath she'd been holding. She closed her mouth and said nothing more.
Her expression was clouded with worry.
Truthfully, she was unhappy.
They had watched her be taken away by Vegeta without saying a single word—not even a token of concern.
Vegeta noticed the change in her mood and fell silent as well.
With both of them no longer speaking, the atmosphere in the corridor grew quiet, heavy with a faint sense of pressure.
Vegeta understood Bulma's feelings perfectly.
She must have been deeply disappointed and hurt.
He considered saying something to comfort her—but ultimately decided against it.
He hadn't taken her away to manipulate her emotions.
He had stepped in to pull her out of an awkward situation where she'd been completely ignored—and because he genuinely intended to leave Namek anyway.
If he deliberately tried to console her now, it would feel artificial.
So he said nothing.
Vegeta leaned against the corridor wall with his arms crossed, quietly waiting for Bulma to process things on her own.
After a long while, Bulma finally sighed again. She steadied herself, looked up at Vegeta, and spoke softly.
"Thank you… for earlier. Otherwise, I really wouldn't have known how to face them."
"No need to thank me," Vegeta replied calmly, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
"I didn't do much. I just needed you to come with me."
He brushed off her gratitude and smoothly changed the subject.
Bulma wasn't foolish—she immediately understood his intent.
After spending time together, she knew Vegeta was strong-willed but terrible at expressing himself.
She smiled brightly and followed his lead.
"So, are we really setting off for other planets next?"
Vegeta nodded.
"Yes. The crisis on Namek is resolved, and the Dragon Balls won't be usable again for another 125 days. I plan to use that time to visit Planet Yardrat first. The journey will take about fourteen days."
"As for after that," he continued,
"I'll take you to the former Planet 79. The supplies stored there will be enough to keep you busy for a long time."
As he spoke, his gaze shifted toward Hera, who had been waiting nearby.
Though Hera was an alien of a different race, most non-asexual species had similar social instincts.
As a seasoned subordinate, he'd long noticed Vegeta's subtle differences in how he treated Bulma.
Saiyans and Earthlings belonged to the same humanoid classification.
That alone explained why everyone had been so obedient toward Bulma these past few days.
She was very likely their future mistress.
"Prepare for departure," Vegeta ordered calmly.
"We can leave immediately."
"Yes!" Hera responded without hesitation, turning and hurrying off.
Watching him go, Vegeta glanced back at Bulma.
"At this point, you're not planning to back out, are you?" he said lightly.
"Even if you change your mind now, it's useless. I won't let you go."
With that, he walked toward the command room.
Bulma's lips curved upward as she followed him.
She was genuinely happy.
"I never said I wasn't going," she replied cheerfully.
"There's no point staying on Namek anyway. I might as well follow you and see other planets."
Then she added softly, "You promised you'd protect me, no matter when or where… didn't you?"
"Mhm," Vegeta replied.
He nodded—and naturally allowed her to link her arm with his.
That small gesture completely erased the earlier gloom from his mind.
He had to admit it—Bulma's ability to recover emotionally was impressive.
She had likely experienced situations like this many times before.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to pull herself out so quickly.
With her arm hooked around his, Bulma's cheeks flushed faintly, like ripe apples.
This was the first time she'd taken the initiative like this.
Because Vegeta didn't resist—because she could feel that he liked her—she did it without even realizing.
Outside the Spaceship
As the hatch closed, Son Goku, Krillin, and Gohan finally snapped out of their daze.
"Th-This… won't something go wrong?" Krillin said, close to tears.
"Bulma was just taken away like that!"
"I think it'll be fine," Goku said hesitantly.
"Vegeta looks cold, but he hasn't harmed us. He even helped us. He probably just wants Bulma to help modify the ship or equipment."
"I'm more worried about how we're supposed to explain this to Dr. Brief when we get back to Earth," Gohan said seriously.
That made Goku and Krillin freeze.
Right—if Bulma left with Vegeta, what if she couldn't return?
"I think you're worrying too much," Nail said calmly.
"I used to distrust Vegeta too, but his actions on Namek proved otherwise. I believe he'll bring Bulma back safely."
"And he'll probably come back to use the Dragon Balls later," he added.
That eased their minds somewhat.
"Uncle Vegeta looks scary, but he's actually a good person," Dende chimed in innocently.
"…I guess all we can do is hope nothing happens," Goku nodded.
"I wonder where Vegeta's headed."
As he spoke, the spaceship lifted off.
Dust billowed everywhere, forcing everyone to cough.
By the time the air cleared, the ship was already gone.
"They really left…" Krillin muttered.
"Bulma's pretty bold. If she didn't want to go, she could've refused."
"Enough," Goku said firmly.
"As long as Bulma's safe, that's what matters. Now it's time to train."
"Only absolute power lets you control your own fate."
With Vegeta gone, Goku and the others began a new phase of training.
Time passed swiftly.
In the blink of an eye—
Half a month had passed.
Half a Month Later — Outer Space
Fourteen days ago, under Goku and the others' gazes, the spaceship departed Namek.
Now, after two full weeks of travel, it finally arrived outside Planet Yardrat.
Surprisingly, the journey hadn't been boring.
For Frieza's former elites, past space travel had been nothing but pressure and deadlines.
Now, under Vegeta's command, everything was different.
There was no oppression.
No fear.
They lived for themselves.
Vegeta's demands were simple: obedience and usefulness.
Nothing more.
And the biggest reason the journey had been so relaxed—
Was Bulma.
Earth games, mixed with aliens of all kinds, turned into chaos and laughter.
Just one round of Space Werewolf kept them entertained for days.
Now, the spaceship hovered outside Yardrat's atmosphere.
They waited—no one dared to enter without Vegeta's order.
After all, Yardratians were known for strange and powerful abilities.
"Wow…" Bulma said, staring at the planetary projection.
"So this is Planet Yardrat. It's way prettier than Namek."
Rainbow-colored continents stretched across the surface.
"I've never seen anything like this."
"According to records," Hera explained.
"Yardrat's plants change color based on temperature, light, and environment. That's why the continents look like a rainbow."
Bulma nodded—then abruptly asked, "They're not poisonous… right?"
Hera paused, startled.
"…They shouldn't be," he said after thinking.
"If there were toxic dangers, they'd be documented."
"Good," Bulma said seriously.
"On Earth, the prettier something is, the more poisonous it tends to be."
After nearly dying on Namek during her first space trip, she wasn't taking chances.
Just then—
"It seems I arrived at the right time."
Everyone turned.
Vegeta stepped into the command room.
He had just finished training.
Because he'd been training under 200× gravity, he was shirtless and drenched in sweat.
The smell hit immediately.
Bulma pinched her nose in disgust.
"Why don't you go wash first? There's no rush."
"…Is it really that bad?" Vegeta frowned.
Before he could react, Bulma shoved him out.
"You can't smell it. We can. Go wash."
Driven out, Vegeta smiled helplessly and headed to the lounge.
After washing up and changing back into his battle suit, he returned.
This time, Bulma moved closer immediately.
"Wash up after training from now on," she warned.
"No woman would like you otherwise."
Vegeta smirked, "Don't you?"
Bulma's face instantly turned red.
She fell silent.
Vegeta didn't press further.
Instead, he focused on the real task.
"I've sensed it," he said calmly.
"Land at coordinates 5735·5115. That should be their main settlement."
The ship descended.
As it landed near the Yardratians' gathering place, alarms sounded.
Warriors assembled instantly.
Led by Great Leader Pibama and Wise Elder Korin, the Yardratians prepared for defense.
