Time passed quickly.
Before long, Goku, accompanied by Krillin and Gohan, arrived at the residence of Grand Elder Guru on Planet Namek.
Clearly, the Namekians were already aware of Goku's arrival and everything that had recently happened.
Under Guru's instructions, all the Namekians treated Goku with great respect.
First, Goku possessed tremendous strength.
Second, shortly after arriving on Namek, he had eliminated powerful enemies who threatened the planet.
However, despite Goku's strength, it was still clear to everyone that he was no match for Vegeta.
The Namekians had all sensed the battle between Goku and Vegeta. The gap between them was not just large—it was overwhelming.
At the entrance, Goku couldn't help but marvel at Nail's strength, casually remarking on how much Nail resembled Piccolo.
Nail had long known about Piccolo, so he didn't take the comment to heart. He was also far less cold toward Goku than he had been toward Vegeta.
That was because Goku's aura was calm and peaceful, without even a trace of malice—almost perfectly pure.
Of course, after experiencing Frieza's tyranny and Vegeta's blunt warnings, Nail had also reflected deeply.
His earlier extreme hostility toward outsiders had softened.
"Go in. The Grand Elder has been waiting for you for a long time," Nail said.
Goku, Krillin, and Gohan nodded and entered.
Krillin and Gohan were already familiar with Guru, but for Goku, this was his first meeting. Like the others before him, he was deeply shocked.
He hadn't expected the Grand Elder of Namek to be so massive.
Upon seeing Goku, Guru finally felt at ease.
Long ago, he had foreseen a prophecy—one connected to Goku. He had never spoken of it openly.
Even to Nail, he had only vaguely said that a warrior from Earth would save the Namekian race.
"It's truly wonderful to meet you while I am still alive, Saiyan from Earth," Guru said with a gentle smile.
The words carried deep meaning.
Krillin and Gohan didn't react, but Goku instantly understood. Through their mental connection, realization struck him, and his expression turned serious.
"Grand Elder… your lifespan is nearing its end, isn't it?"
"Yes," Guru replied calmly. "At most, I have about a month left. You arrived at the perfect time. If you had come any later, I might not have been able to help you."
"Help me?" Goku asked, puzzled—then quickly connected it to Krillin and Gohan's explosive growth.
His eyes widened. "You mean unlocking my potential? Please don't do that. I don't want power gained at the cost of your life."
Goku's refusal was firm. Even though he wanted to grow stronger, he couldn't accept such a sacrifice.
Hearing this, Guru's smile grew warmer. Krillin and Gohan stood quietly to the side.
They wanted Goku to become stronger, but they also knew how draining Guru's power release had been when it was used on them.
"You don't need to burden yourself," Guru said softly.
"Unlocking your potential does not shorten my lifespan—it only consumes my remaining energy. I will still pass naturally. More importantly, I need you to be strong enough to face what is coming."
He gazed out the window.
"The crisis in two days is only what you can see. What I foresee is something even worse. Vegeta alone—even as a Super Saiyan—may not be enough."
Goku's expression darkened.
"Frieza's brother… Cooler?"
Guru nodded slightly.
"It's possible. If you and Vegeta both reach that level, only then will you have a chance."
The room fell silent.
After a long moment, Krillin spoke up nervously, "What if… you and the Namekians came to Earth with us? At least temporarily?"
Guru slowly shook his head.
"If Namek is destroyed, then yes. But as long as our planet still exists, we cannot abandon it."
Krillin lowered his head, and Gohan looked disappointed.
Goku took a deep breath.
"Even so… I still don't want you to suffer for my sake."
Guru chuckled lightly.
"Then let me reassure you."
Just then, Goku remembered something.
"Oh! I still have Senzu Beans."
He pulled out the remaining beans.
Krillin and Gohan's eyes lit up.
After hearing their explanation, Guru was astonished.
Although using a Senzu Bean on his aging body seemed wasteful, he understood Goku's heart and accepted it.
The moment Guru ate the Senzu Bean, vitality surged through him.
Though his body didn't grow younger, the exhaustion that had plagued him vanished.
"Incredible…" Guru said in amazement. "Now, I can fully release your potential."
The unlocking began.
Goku's potential was immense—no less than Vegeta's.
When it was complete, Goku's power surged to at least three million.
"This is amazing…!" Goku said in awe. "It's far beyond my 12x Kaio-ken!"
Krillin trembled with excitement, and Gohan stared in admiration.
Then suddenly, images flooded Goku's mind.
"Grand Elder… these memories…"
Guru nodded, "They are fragments of my memories—Vegeta's battle with Frieza, and the path he took to break through. You will need them."
He had given Goku everything he could.
For the sake of Namek—and the future.
