With the wishes completed, Porunga slowly departed, and the light of the Dragon Balls faded.
All of Vegeta's wishes had been granted—more than that, they had been optimized.
Only after everything was over did Vegeta realize just how smoothly the process had gone.
Too smoothly.
Even Porunga, the most human-like of all Shenrons, shouldn't have been this accommodating under normal circumstances.
After some thought, two possible explanations surfaced in Vegeta's mind.
The first possibility was absurd but tempting to consider: Porunga might have realized that he was not the original Vegeta.
His existence alone would drastically alter the course of this world, making him someone worth investing in.
Of course, this was likely nothing more than wild speculation.
The second possibility was far more reasonable.
The Grand Elder may have secretly communicated with Porunga, subtly guiding the Dragon God to help Vegeta fulfill his wishes in the most perfect way possible.
It would make sense.
A reward for eliminating Frieza.
A thank-you for agreeing to continue protecting Namek from future threats.
Regardless of the reason, the result was what mattered.
The wishes had been granted.
Anything beyond that wasn't worth dwelling on.
What mattered now was training—and testing the abilities he had just gained.
Truth be told, there were still wishes he wanted to make, but Porunga could only grant three at a time.
Fortunately, Porunga had already saved him several wishes by bundling multiple benefits together.
If he truly wanted more later, all he had to do was wait 130 days for the Dragon Balls to recover and summon Porunga again.
As for concerns about abusing the Dragon Balls and creating some kind of negative backlash or evil dragon…
Vegeta didn't care in the slightest.
As long as his strength was sufficient, what was there to fear?
Even the so-called Shadow Dragons from Earth's Dragon Balls weren't truly terrifying. Even the strongest among them couldn't compare to Beerus.
If something like that ever appeared again, Vegeta would simply crush it.
…
Back at the Grand Elder's residence, Vegeta spoke with the Grand Elder for quite some time and expressed his thanks once more.
Once everything that needed to be said was said, Vegeta didn't linger.
He was not the type to hesitate or repeat himself.
Before leaving, he reminded the Grand Elder that the Ginyu Force would arrive in three days—and that he would handle it then.
In truth, Vegeta was hoping Kakarot would arrive around the same time.
He had zero interest in dealing with the Ginyu Force personally.
Letting Kakarot handle them would be far more convenient.
More importantly, Vegeta wanted to see how strong Kakarot had become under this altered timeline.
North Kai would have already informed him of everything, so knowing Kakarot's personality, he would definitely be training even harder than in the original timeline.
Breaking 100,000 combat power should be effortless.
With Kaio-ken layered on top, even reaching the millions wouldn't be impossible.
That was already on par with Frieza's second form.
…
Outside the residence, Vegeta's gaze suddenly shifted—and locked onto Bulma.
The atmosphere instantly tightened.
Krillin and Gohan tensed, instinctively stepping in front of her.
Bulma herself swallowed nervously.
"W-What do you want to do to me?" she asked uneasily.
Even if her opinion of Vegeta had improved somewhat, his cold demeanor was still intimidating.
"I need you to do something for me," Vegeta said calmly. "You're coming with me."
"…Come with you?" Bulma's eyes widened.
"What do you want Aunt Bulma to do?"
"There's no way we're letting you take Bulma away alone!"
Gohan and Krillin immediately became defensive.
Vegeta glanced at them with undisguised disdain. "If I had ill intentions, you couldn't stop me."
He then looked back at Bulma. "I need you to help me modify a spaceship. With your intelligence, you should be capable."
"Modify… a spaceship?" Bulma asked, startled.
She was a genius—but how did Vegeta know that?
She didn't ask aloud. After a brief moment of hesitation, she nodded.
"…Alright. I can try. But what exactly do you want modified? My experience with alien technology is limited. I've only worked with the Namekian ship so far."
Krillin and Gohan looked even more uneasy, but since Bulma had already agreed, there was nothing they could do.
Vegeta nodded. "That's enough. Come with me. I guarantee your safety. Whether you succeed or fail, no one will harm you."
"…You said that," Bulma replied, surprisingly reassured.
She didn't know why, but she believed him.
…
Soon after, Vegeta and the others boarded Frieza's spaceship and departed.
Under Vegeta's command, the remaining personnel guided the ship toward the vessel Vegeta had originally arrived in.
That was the ship to be modified.
More specifically, the target was the gravity simulation device.
Fifty times gravity was far too low.
Vegeta needed at least one hundred times Earth's gravity—preferably two hundred or even three hundred.
Of course, that level might not be achievable in a short time.
But even one hundred times would be enough for now.
Frieza's personal ship also had a gravity system, but its limits were similar.
So Vegeta decided to let Bulma practice on the medium-sized ship first.
If it broke, it didn't matter.
After hearing the details, Bulma was shocked.
According to her father's data, Goku's spaceship had been modified to reach one hundred times Earth's gravity.
Now Vegeta wanted the same thing.
So this really was for training.
But that only made her more confused.
Vegeta was already absurdly powerful.
Why did he still want to train?
And why… did that make him even more frightening?
