"I can certainly try, but relying on my own strength won't be enough. I'm also short on tools, and as for materials…"
Bulma's words were clearly a request for assistance.
Vegeta understood immediately. Without hesitation, he ordered several elite members of the Frieza Force to fully cooperate with Bulma's modification work.
These subordinates had been deliberately kept by Vegeta for this purpose. In the future, they could even be taken to Earth to help establish a base of operations.
As for whether they would obey?
If they didn't, they would die.
They weren't foolish enough to misunderstand something that simple.
Once they realized Bulma's importance to Vegeta—and the consequences of disobedience—the group became extremely attentive, almost fawning over her.
In a world where strength ruled supreme, the one with the strongest fist held absolute authority.
After that, it was only a matter of whether you had enough value to be worth protecting.
Under Vegeta's watchful gaze, Bulma quickly took control of the entire alien team.
She first learned each person's area of expertise, then efficiently organized the work and laid out a practical plan.
Putting everything else aside, Vegeta genuinely admired Bulma's leadership ability.
At first, some of these alien elites had been dissatisfied.
After all, they were veterans of the Frieza Force—elite personnel—yet now they were being ordered around by a human from a backwater planet that had only just entered the space age.
But that mindset didn't last long.
Bulma proved, very quickly, that she was no ordinary human.
She not only communicated clearly and logically, but also arranged tasks in a way that maximized everyone's strengths.
When disassembling and analyzing the spaceship, she asked questions humbly, without arrogance, openly acknowledging what she didn't know.
That sincere respect—unintentional as it was—greatly satisfied these alien elites.
It was a feeling they had never experienced before.
Serving Frieza had meant fear. Endless fear.
Even though outsiders saw them as powerful elites, they themselves knew the truth: they were expendable ants, living without dignity, to be used or discarded at will.
…
Time passed quickly.
Two days went by in the blink of an eye.
Through Bulma's coordination and the combined efforts of the Frieza Force elites, the gravity device modification was finally completed.
According to Bulma, the upgraded gravity simulator could now reach two hundred times Earth's gravity.
In fact, if better materials were available—and with the technology these elites possessed—it would be entirely possible to push the limit to five hundred times, or even a thousand times gravity.
This breakthrough also owed a great deal to Bulma's father, Dr. Brief.
It was Dr. Brief who had first transmitted the blueprints for the one-hundred-times gravity system.
From there, after discussion and refinement by everyone involved, a more optimized design was produced.
Even so, Vegeta was extremely satisfied.
One hundred times gravity was the baseline. Two hundred times was more than enough for now.
Not only was the gravity device upgraded, but because Vegeta intended to use this medium-sized spaceship as a training facility, most of the unnecessary internal structures were removed, leaving behind a wide, open space.
Simply put, the ship had become a dedicated gravity training room.
Once the modifications were complete, Vegeta wasted no time testing it himself.
Fifty times.
One hundred times.
Two hundred times.
Everyone present gained a new appreciation for Vegeta's terrifying strength.
A hundred times gravity was already absurd by known standards.
Within the Frieza Force's records, the highest planetary gravity ever documented was only a few dozen times Earth's gravity—and those were usually dead planets or special celestial bodies.
Under two hundred times gravity, Vegeta engaged in continuous, intense training. Sweat poured from his body, and yet his expression was filled with exhilaration.
After Porunga's enhancements, the basic training he had done over the past two days had only stabilized his strength—it hadn't truly tempered his body.
Now, under this crushing gravity, that long-lost strain returned.
His ki flowed continuously through his muscles, bones, and organs, refining his physical body at every level.
While two hundred times gravity wouldn't immediately cause explosive growth, with enough accumulation, increasing his base combat power by another one million in a short period was entirely realistic.
Vegeta estimated that after Porunga's enhancements, his current base combat power had reached nearly five million.
Once transformed into a Super Saiyan, that meant 250 million combat power.
Stepping out of the gravity chamber, Vegeta stretched his body, feeling momentarily as though he had become several times stronger.
Of course, he knew this was just an illusion.
He didn't let it go to his head.
"You've worked hard these past two days," Vegeta said, looking at Bulma.
"When there's an opportunity in the future, I'll need your help building an even higher-gravity device."
Without her, the Frieza Force elites might have managed it eventually—but it would have taken far longer, and the results wouldn't have been nearly as good.
"That's fine," Bulma replied casually. "But don't forget—you promised that the next three wishes are ours."
"Good," Vegeta nodded. "I remember."
He wasn't someone who broke his word—unless something truly unexpected happened.
Over these two days, Bulma had also gained a deeper understanding of Vegeta.
It felt strange.
Her first impression of him had been that he was… too short for her taste.
Yet now, standing in front of him, she felt that his height was perfectly fine. In fact, their height difference felt just right.
She had no idea that Porunga had already "reasonably" adjusted Vegeta's height.
Even people who knew Vegeta before would subconsciously accept the change.
Of course, the effect had limits—but for Vegeta, it was more than enough.
After watching Bulma for a moment, Vegeta finally spoke again, somewhat stiffly.
"Are you staying here until Kakarot arrives, or should I send you back to rest?"
He wanted to show concern—but being straightforward by nature, this was the best he could manage.
After all, Bulma had worked nonstop for two days.
To his surprise, Bulma immediately glared at him.
"So after I help you finish the modifications, you're just going to send me away?" she snapped.
"Didn't you say you'd protect my safety? Are you going back on your word? And you promised I could research Frieza's spaceship too!"
"…"
Vegeta fell silent.
He suddenly realized that this situation… might be more troublesome than fighting under two hundred times gravity.
