"Hana?"
Eugene knocked on Samantha's bedroom door. It wasn't exactly locked, but he knew if he carelessly opened it, there would be hell to pay. Beside him, Arthur was literally kneeling by the door, even though Hannah couldn't see him. His cheek was pressed against the door, looking like he wanted to cry.
"Princess, can you open the door, please?"
"Hana, let's talk together, yeah? Can we come in, please?"
An answer finally came from inside, but not what the two fathers wanted to hear. "No!"
"Hana, you make Papa sad here," Eugene sighed.
"Lies! Papa smell fine!"
"Uhh..."
Whops--Eugene couldn't help but grimace. Indeed, he was surprised and panicking, but not at all sad. If anything, he found it was quite funny--both the way Hannah sulked and the way she could smell his emotion. Truly his personal little hunting bear.
"Well, your Daddy is really sad, though..." Eugene said, glancing at the alpha who truly looked like he wanted to cry.
"Then Papa go cheer him up!"
