Lamia approached Nyx. She was terrified.
"The kings themselves were here. I've never seen that before."
"Umbra arranged it, which means he's been watching and planning this for days, maybe even longer."
"Does that worry you?"
"It terrifies me. But right now, I'm too exhausted to think about it." Nyx looked at the territory. "We need to make sure the civilians are safe, the healers have resources, and the families attacked have somewhere to stay."
"You need to rest." Hera said. "You shifted completely for the first time in days, channeled enough rage to scare those society members. At this rate, you will collapse."
As if her words were heard by gods, Nyx swayed, but Torin caught her arm.
"Communication stone." She mumbled. "I need to tell Raziel…"
"I'm already preparing it." Lamia held up the stone with Raziel's image visible. "She's safe."
"I'm coming there." Raziel said immediately.
"No." Nyx protested.
