"You want to use the tribunal as bait?" She asked. "You want to let them attack, and is defending and capturing them in the act."
"Exactly."
"That's dangerous." Kira said.
"But that's the only option we have." Kai replied. "We can either hide and hope they don't find us, or we can control the confrontation on our terms."
"Control is different from safety." Raziel said. "Nyx barely survived the last confrontation with them. You're deliberately provoking another one."
"We should stop being reactive and be strategic. They want to disrupt the tribunal? Fine. Let them try but we have to be ready."
The argument started again, but this time Nyx was barely listening. She was thinking about the children she'd met in territories, the families who'd lost everything, who deserved justice.
If the tribunal was disrupted, if they had to delay or relocate or cancel proceedings because of threats, what message would that send? That hybrids should expect the justice to always be conditional.
