Dagoku was in a place that he did not recognize. He was surrounded by sand, and he could see that there were what seemed to be slaves working a bit far from where he was. He could also see angel-like figures watching over the slaves. Two kids were slacking off somewhere, discussing about something. Suddenly, one of the angel guards noticed the kid and headed over to them, shouting something.
Dagoku woke up in the dark. He found himself on top of his bed, which he replaced the futon with not too long ago, and saw that Emiko had sneakily crawled into bed with him. She was curled up next to him with a teddy bear in her arms and looked soundly asleep. Dagoku smiled and put a blanket over her, as she may have been cold. He then checked the clock on the wall, which read 3:50 am. Dagoku decided to try and go back to bed, as this was way too early for someone to be waking up at.
Just as he closed his eyes, Dagoku felt an uneasily feeling surrounding the air. He opened his eyes and looked around, however there was nobody there. Dagoku, still being unable to shake off the feeling, decided to get out of bed and investigate further. He entered the living room and looked outside, the city being considerably darker compared to before, likely due to how most people went to bed as it is nearing 4 in the morning. He then put on his shoes and entered the hallway, where the breeze slapped him in the face out of nowhere. He shook his head and walked down the stairs, reaching the ground floor, and started to walk around. He noticed how empty and quiet the streets were during nighttime, and took in the time to check out his surroundings for the first time in a while. After all, it was quite a task for him to enjoy the scenery of Tokyo when there was an alarmingly large crowd of people hurriedly walking past him in all directions.
As he was walking down the street, he noticed a dark alleyway, and had a sudden desire to enter the said alley. So he decided to go there unarmed and explore a little bit before Emiko wakes up. The alley was quite dark, as there were no street lamps in these alleys for some reason, probably due to how supernaturals keep destroying them quite frequently, so the city decided to just not fix them. He entered the alley where there were the shops that opened up from early morning to late at night. They were all closed and the lights were off, so he decided to just keep walking. As he was about to reach the alleyway where he and Emiko always went through to reach her school, Dagoku noticed that there was something on the ground. He decided to take a closer look, as it was quite dark out, and it turned out to be a piece of wood. However, the unusual thing about this piece of wood was that it was not any shade of brown, but a shade of dark blue. It was almost hard to see in the dark, but the more Dagoku looked closer, the more he realized his eyes were not playing tricks on him, but it was really blue. What confused him was that there were no trees around here, and also due to the fact the the trees around here did not have blue trunks.
As he was pondering this, his mind suddenly raced back to the fight with the supernatural the boss had the previous day. The color of that supernatural and the color of this piece of wood were strikingly similar. However, he wasn't too sure as it was still pretty dark outside, so his eyes could have been playing tricks on him.
Dagoku suddenly felt as if something was watching him, so he looked around. The darkness around him did not assist him in any way, so trying to find anything moving was going to be a pain in the ass. Dagoku started to get away from the alley, looking around cautiously for any signs of movement.
For some reason, everything around Dagoku seemed to be getting darker and darker for each step that he took, which made absolutely no sense. At first, he though it was because he was just very tired, since he still was at an age for high school, his body could not tank too much days without sufficient sleep, and lately, he has been waking up during the middle of the night. As he continued to walk, he noticed that he was now walking in a pitch black void. Dagoku strongly felt that he his vision was not being tampered, but he was just attacked by a supernatural. He suddenly found himself in what seemed to be an old, abondoned place. He did not know when he got here, as he was in a pitch black void seconds ago. Dagoku decided to explore the place and find the supernatural so that he could kill it and escape.
Dagoku started walking around the place, checking each room out. The place had an eerie atmosphere, and the place seemed as if he was underground. It felt like one of those horror vhs tapes where the person holding the camera is stuck in an abandoned basement of a large building, with rusty pipes and worn down walls. In fact, Dagoku's vision was exactly like an old vhs tape, his vision being like one of those poor quality videos from like the mid 20th century. His vision had color, however everything was in so poor quality that it added an even more unsettling feeling to the already eerie atmosphere.
As he continued to stroll around and find the supernatural, he suddenly felt the feeling again of someone or something watching him. When he turned around, he saw something quickly move away from his line of sight. Dagoku got startled, as he did not expect this at all. All he was able to make out was that this entity had a pitch black body and was really fast.
Dagoku's instinct screamed at him to not follow this weird creature, however he really had no other choice to leave. The only way to leave a domain, or at least he suspected that it was a domain made by a supernatural, was to either let the creator of the domain let you out, which was not possible, or kill the creator. There was, of course, a way to break a domain, however Dagoku did not know how and nor did anybody else in the world.
So he decided to head over to where the entity was, and saw a dark red trail leading somewhere. Dagoku really did not want to follow, however, he had no choice. After a long walk, he reached a door drenched in what seemed to be dried blood. He opened the door, and was met with a black void in front of him. He walked in, and when he stepped two feet inside, the door behind him slammed shut. So Dagoku kept walking forward, in which he felt that he had been walking for hours upon hours at this point.
Not knowing that behind him, two white eyes could be seen staring.
