Dagoku finally found a light in the distance towards the direction that he was walking towards. He felt as if he had been walking for a decent amount of time, as he had no way of knowing what the time was in this black void.
As Dagoku got closer to the light however, he noticed that the source of the light was also getting smaller and smaller, until he realized that the source of the light was a rusty old lightbulb, producing a faint orangish glow around it. Dagoku noticed that the placement of the bulb was quite strange, as it was unusually high up in the air, and the bulb kept dangling up and down. He tried to feel for a breeze, however he did not feel anything. As he was thinking, something caught the corner of his eye. The light from the bulb was reflecting off something, however it was so faint that Dagoku nearly missed it. He took a closer look at what the thing was. It looked like a thick stick with a sharp point at the end. It also seemed to be made out of something whitish coloured. The thing reminded Dagoku of a monster's teeth.
Suddenly, everything clicked in Dagoku's mind, and he was able to jump backwards in time to dodge the bite of this monster. Dagoku saw the gigantic mouth close at the spot that he was just standing in moments ago, and the monster, after realizing it missed its prey, seemed to disappear underground.
Dagoku saw that the area in front of him was just water, and he felt unsettled as he nearly fell for the oldest trick in the book. Dagoku decided not to spend any more time there and quickly went the other way.
As Dagoku kept chugging along, however he started to pick up his pace as he felt as if he had spent too much time here, and Emiko would be worried about him when he came back.
Dagoku soon found himself back in the abandoned basement again, not knowing how he even got there, and started to look for the creator of this domain. As he was walking, he noticed that there seemed to be something around him, as he kept hearing noises, almost as if something was following him. At first, he thought it was just his own steps and was imagining things, however the longer he walked, the more he was sure that there was someone or something here along with him.
Dagoku kept wandering around, trying to find a way out, however the basement seemed to be endless. Each corner led to more corners, and each hallway led to more hallways.
A scream could be heard coming from somewhere, and Dagoku immediately became alert. The scream was high pitched, almost like a female's scream, however the scream sounded disoriented, as if someone had relapsed it somewhere. He noticed his vision turning red, and voices started to scream at him to run.
As Dagoku was standing there, trying to figure out what was going on, a figure came out of hiding from behind one of the walls. The figure looked about three meters tall, in fact having to bend over to fit in the small space. It had unsettlingly bright white eyes, with no pupil. It seemed to almost blend in with the dark, it body barely visible to the naked eye. It looked like it took the shape of a humanoid figure, however it's unporportionate legs and arms gave out an uncanny vibe.
Before the entity could do something, Dagoku charged forward and smashed his fist into the figure's face without hesitation.
The figure staggered backwards, but quickly recovered, to which was no suprise to Dagoku. He guessed that some random creepy monster that comes out of the shadows would not go down with just a fist to the face. So Dagoku did what any sane person would do in this situation; he started to run away at full speed.
Dagoku started dashing through hallways, as he had no clue where anything was. He could sense that the figure was tailing right behind him. Dagoku wondered why the monster was so slow, as he thought that something that menacing would have some speed as well. He turned back to see where the figure was, and sprinted even faster when he saw that the creature was directly behind him.
Dagoku wondered how he hasn't hit a dead end yet, as he has turned so many corners that it was ridiculous. Just as he thought that, Dagoku was met with a concrete wall. He cursed himself for thinking of such things and looked around for another escape route and saw that he was boxed in from all three sides.
As he was about to try and sneak back to the way he came from, the black entity emerged and blocked the path. It seemed to not be very happy after the punch that Dagoku gave, as it charged at him almost the instant it laid its sight on Dagoku. Dagoku barely dodged the incoming attack, as there was barely any space in the enclosed area.
As the entity stumbled and tried to get back up, Dagoku smashed his fist into its face again, causing it to crash back down. Dagoku then kicked at it and started to run away again, as he knew that he would not be beating the monster without something to kill it with.
As he ran, Dagoku could hear the creature screaming with frustration and decided to pick up the pace. After running around for a while, Dagoku finally saw a door. He decided to enter the door without thinking twice, since he did want to get out of the place and also not be chased by the black creature.
As he opened the door and entered, he was suddenly met with a fresh gust of wind. Dagoku looked around to see the alleyway in which he was in before being trapped in whatever place he was sent to.
Dagoku wondered where on earth he was sent to, and checked the time on his watch, which for some reason was still in his wrist all this time. The watch read "5:56 am".
Dagoku started sprinting back to his apartment, as he had to get Emiko's lunch ready and that she was about to wake up in about 20 more minutes. He was also quite far from his apartment, so he started to run even faster than he did when being chased by the black entity back at the rusty place.
As Dagoku was sprinting, he did not seem to see the blue supernatural that was hiding in the shadows at the end of the alleyway.
