"So?" Lorraine asked Marina excitedly.
"How did your first class go?" Lorraine said as she pressed the middle button in Princess Marina's quarter staff to separate the two ends and stored them in a box by Princess Marina's bed.
"It was great, I think he was just gauging our levels." Princess Marina said as she let down her hair.
"How were they?" Lorraine asked as she helped Princess Marina take out her hair accessories.
"They all had good power." said Princess Marina.
"Was their level of power of the same scale?" Lorraine asked and Princess Marina shook her head.
"Esmira had good power but she was more elegant than destructive. Maria had good battle sense but she could be evaded easily but Rassera was destructive and knew her way around a physical fight." Princess Marina said and Lorraine nodded.
"The Marchioness is known for close combat." Lorraine said and Princess Marina smiled in response.
"When is your next class?" Lorraine asked Princess Marina.
"The next three days." Princess Marina said with a sigh.
"Esmira has to find new weapons in addition to her bow. Maria was advised to learn a poker face and Rassera was told to work on her anger." Princess Marina said as she signalled Lorraine to run her a bath.
"And what about you Princess?" Lorraine asked as she ran the tap.
"Did he give you any pointers or anything that you should focus on?" Lorraine asked curiously.
"No, he didn't." Princess Marina said with a smile and Lorraine hollered before gasping.
"What about your friends? Did they isolate you?" Lorraine asked, rushing out of the bathroom.
"Isolate me?" Princess Marina said laughing.
"You worry too much." Princess Marina said before the image of Rassera's disappointed face flashed through her mind.
Flashback
"Flawless." Daeros said and Princess Marina turned the water into ice and absorbed it into her blue ore.
"You have high tact and your choice of weapon suits you well." Daeros said as he deactivated his defensive skin.
Going back to her friends, Princess Marina stopped in her tracks as they all looked at her in awe.
"That is the quickest battle of today." Maria said in wonder.
"Teach me your ways, oh wise one." Esmira said in wonder and Princess Marina burst into a fit of laughter.
Clapping his hands to get their attention, Daeros said "That is all for your first class."
"And I would like to issue some of you an assignment." Daeros said to the four girls.
"For Esmira I implore you to get smaller weapons if you wish to continue using a bow." Daeros said to Esmira.
"For Maria, I would advice you to work on your expressions." Daeros said and Maria slapped her hands on her cheeks.
"For Rassera, I would advise you to work on your anger." Daeros said before dismissing himself but Rassera stopped him.
"Does Princess Marina not have an assignment of her own?" Rassera asked tentatively and Daeros shook his head.
Flashback end.
"It's normal for her to be disappointed." Princess Marina thought.
"She did really well even if she had a lot of openings." Princess Marina thought as she stepped out of the bath.
"I am sure she will get over it." Princess Marina thought before going to bed.
After three days, the four girls gathered before Daeros and three unfamiliar faces.
"Today I brought teachers that can help you improve your individual skills." Daeros said to the four girls.
"Arcanis here," Daeros said, referring to a red-haired man with a bulky physique and light green eyes.
"Has excellent archery skills so I believe that he is more than capable in teaching Esmira." Daeros said and Esmira nodded in appreciation.
"Liora," Daeros said, referring to a tall woman with straight black hair and sharp blue eyes.
"Specializes in hand to hand combat and will be more than capable in teaching Rassera." Daeros said and Rassera beamed in happiness.
"I will train Maria personally." Daeros said, giving Maria a mock stern look.
"And last but not the least Pyralex," Daeros said pointing to a lean man with dark green hair and light green eyes.
"will train Princess Marina."
"I will check each of your progress every week and we will have a repeat of the sparring session we had on the first day of class, every two weeks till you depart for the academy." Daeros said with a smile.
