"Bear in mind Rassera Dawnspire, that this was only a sparring match." Daeros said disapprovingly.
"Creating your icicles in point blabk range was already enough for you to win." Daeros said before dismissing Rassera.
Going down to meet her friends, Rassera tried not to long at anybody. Her two closest friends, Maria and Esmira moods turned somber when they realized that Rassera was digging her nails into her palms.
"Your speed and power was beautiful." Princess Marina said and Rassera's head snapped up.
"Your form was beautiful also." Princess Marina said as she stepped closer to Rassera.
"You must have trained hard." Princess Marina said with a gentle smile.
"I am glad to know that with a little more training you will be able to give everyone a run for their money." Princess Marina said and Rassera flushed.
"You think so?" Rassera asked sheepishly and Esmira and Maria rushed to tell how amazing the fight was.
Seeing the amiable atmosphere between all four of them, Daeros relaxed a little.
"She's young." Daeros thought
"She was just desperate to win." Daeros told himself as he tried to ignore the murder intent that slipped out in Rassera's final strike.
"The stage awaits Maria Price." Daeros said and Maria froze with nervousness.
"Wish me luck." Maria said as she stepped on stage.
Stepping into the stage, Maria brought out a pair of small knives. Aiming them at what was left of the column, Maria threw her knives and the minute they came in contact with the wall vines sprouted in their place. The ore on Maria's weapon was on the hilt of the sword and it was not covered by a defensive barrier.
"Good aim." Daeros said as he entered the ring.
"I will move now." Daeros said before charging at her.
Squeaking a little as she jumped back, Maria threw daggers in quick succession. Seeing Daeros dodge the daggers, she calculated his next step and threw her dagger just beside his feet so that the vines can encircle his ankle. Dodging swiftly to the side, Daeros continued charging towards Maria and Maria whimpered in horror.
Throwing as many daggers as she could to stop Daeros from coming close, Maria gave up all hope when Daeros appeared two centimeters before her.
"I give up." Maria said as she dropped her head and Daeros smiled.
"You had good aim and a good battle sense the only thing that ruined you, was that you were too easy to read." said Daeros.
"Too easy to read?" Maria said in confusion and Daeros nodded.
"You would have won the time you aimed for the area next to my feet, but the triumphant look on your face made me dodge it." Daeros said and Princess Marina tried hard to hold her chuckles at Maria's embarrassed face.
"You almost got me two more times too, but your face keeps doing you in." Daeros said kindly and Maria flushed in embarrassment.
Running to her friends who were dying from silent laughter, Maria asked "Is my face really that predictable?" and her three friends cackled.
Clearing his throat to get the four girls attention, Daeros called for Princess Marina to take the stage.
Stepping into the ring with her black quarter staff with silver designs and two cores enclosed in a spherical defensive barrier at the top and bottom. Pointing the top half of her quarter staff that had a blue ore to the sky, Princess Marina created mist and the surroundings became foggy. Lifting the bottom half of her quarter staff to the sky, Princess Marina commanded the wind and the mist disappeared.
Clapping at her control over the two cores, Daeros stepped into the ring.
"I will be moving now." Daeros said for the fourth time but immediately he took a step forward he was blown back.
Standing his ground, Daeros sprouted vines around his feet and trudged forward. Pointing the end of the white ore at Daeros, Princess Marina pressed a button at the center of her quarter staff and the end that had the blue ore came off. Grabbing the end with the blue ore, Princess Marina pointed both ores at Daeros and the air became freezing.
Trying to preserve body heat, Daeros activated his defensive skin and when he could finally move again, Daeros looked up to see icicles above his head.
