It was a dark and stormy night, only rain and thunder could be heard. In the middle of this storm was a small cabin that lay in a forest. In this cabin was where I lived, I had long brown hair, that I kept down, with brown eyes. My black leggings with a blue T-shirt complete my outfit.
I lived with my husband Frank; his short brown hair made him look tough, which complemented his thick brown beard.
He always wore a farmer's hat, with a classic yellow T-shirt, and blue jeans, to complete the farmer's look. For about 2 years I lived with him, and I loved him with all my heart, but as soon as we moved in together, he changed. Living with someone allows you to find out more about them, and connect, but for me that was the worst thing I could do.
Every time I found something out, he only got worse. We had a child named Edie, he had short brown hair, which fit right in with his blue eyes, and he loved to wear his dinosaur PJs. Commotion filled my cabin, along with the screams of my husband and me.
"I'm not going to stay here if you keep this up Frank!" I said as Frank started to pick up a chair, I was in front of the dishwasher, holding a spatula, from dinner, I couldn't finish making. The smell of burnt carrots and ham filled the cabin. Franks face was turning beat red.
"What are you saying! I can't have a princess like you, just leave me, my reputation would be ruined! Now honey why don't you just come back over here!" He screamed as he threw the chair at me. It made a clunk sound as it hit my head, splitting my head open, and causing me to drop to the floor. Knocking the countertop about, my cabin looked like a tornado had just gone off.
"Leave me ALONE! Haven't you thought that what you're doing would hurt Edie? All you ever cared about was you and your stupid reputation; it's sickening! Edie will be scared for life, from you because of the choice you made, I can't be your puppet anymore, I'm done with this, and I'm done with you, I CAN'T BE THE WIFE OF A A..." The blood from my head filled my mouth, forcing me to stop talking, I choked, and my vision started to fade. Frank got closer, holding a knife in his right hand.
"Well, well, well, I can't have you live if you're not going to stay with me, now can I, you know too much, so I guess it's time to say goodbye!" He ran to me and slammed down his hand with the knife. We were pinned to the ground almost like a stalemate between us. As time went on, my grip on the knife slowly cut my hand as I held the blade trying to push him off. I tried to wedge my foot to his stomach, but he held it down, I breathed in, then out, and with that I screaming from pain.
Pushing and pushing, suddenly Edie came in weaving through the halls, with a look I couldn't bear to see, his eyes were wide, and full of water.
"Mom, Dad, what's going on? (sniff) why, wh, why are you fighting?!" Edie cried as franks' attention went to him, instead of me. This was my chance, I pulled my hand from his, and punched him in the gut, causing him to fall back, quickly, as soon as he let my foot out I kicked him as hard as I could, making him fly into the oven, hitting his ribs on the glass, scattering glass and blood all over the floor. I struggled to keep myself from passing out from the pain of my injuries, the knife still in hand, I stood up and turned the knife around.
"Stay away! You've done enough, just please leave me and Edie alone!" I spoke as I grabbed Edies hand. As soon as I got a good grasp, I sprinted out of there, never looking back. Thunder roared loudly, and rain poured. Just as I thought we were all clear, a loud crash followed by bright light filled my vision.
Lightning had just struck us down, then just as light came, everything went black.
"At least if I died, I won't have to enter that life ever again." I said as I fell into the void of darkness. The next time I woke up I was in a void of black with myself and Edie staring at me, kind of creepy.
"You have now entered each other's mind, the energy from the lightning will cause you to change who you are, every month, because two souls cannot become one, and one soul cannot have 2 brains. Sadly, you will forget as the darkness is soon to be light, take care of yourself because they are waiting for you, you will remember when the time is right."
