Chapter 24 - Meeting and Training

The full Akatsuki sat around a table, focused on Nagato who begun to speak

"The Yonko, Big Mom has invited us to a tea party. She threatened us, saying we'd regret it if we refuse. We won't take this laying down. We're going to attend the party, however our goal is to kill Big Mom."

"In one month, we attend Big Mom's tea party. Until then, your only focus is haki. Armament must be mastered. Observation refined. We'll walk into Totto Land prepared for anything."

A quiet tension spread through the room—anticipation, curiosity, and for a few, excitement.

"Begin immediately. Train with your partners. Push each other. And do not fall behind. We will not appear weak before a Yonko."

Nagato dismissed the meeting, and the pairs separated like shadows dispersing through New Amegakure's metallic rain-soaked platforms.

--------------

Their training grounds were an isolated stretch of ocean. Kisame stood waist-deep in water, coating his arms in sleek black Armament, grinning as the sea churned around him.

 "Hoh… this stuff feels natural.."

He struck the water—a shockwave split the surface, waves curling outward like fleeing animals.

Itachi practiced beside him, a faint sheen of Armament coating his forearms while his eyes stayed closed, relying entirely on Observation.

"Your Armament grows quickly… but you rely on power. Focus. Without precision, it's wasted."

Kisame laughed and launched a punch meant to test him.Itachi stepped aside effortlessly—he'd felt it coming before Kisame even moved.

Kisame: "Heh. You're still elusive as ever."

------------------

Kakazu wrapped his arms in Armament, each strike causing the reinforced stone beneath them to crack.

Kakazu: "Hmph. This is efficient. My techniques can fuse with this… durability."

Hidan, bruised from earlier training, proudly coated his scythe in Armament.

"Look! LOOK! I can easily kill Logias now! Praise Jashin, baby!"

Kakazu didn't look up. "You still get hit too much."

Hidan scoffed.

"Yeah, but I don't die, so who cares!?"

Despite the bickering, both were rapidly growing—Kakazu's Armament becoming dense and refined, while Hidan learned through sheer reckless determination.

--------------

Sasori's puppets were now reinforced with a layer of Armament. The joints gleamed black each time they struck.

Sasori: "Armament haki… it's surprisingly compatible with my art. I can integrate it into every puppet. Their blades will cut even Logia bodies."

Deidara sat on a rock, palms glowing as he coated his hands in Armament in small waves, testing how well it harmonized with his chakra-infused clay.

"Tch… this stuff isn't as fun as Observation. But if I can coat my explosives in it… they'll actually hit those untouchable types. That's art too, yeah?"

Sasori: "If it keeps you alive, it counts."

-----------

Konan floated above the training field, thousands of paper sheets orbiting her like a storm. Each sheet shimmered with thin, but solid Armament coating.

She smiled faintly."It's delicate. Difficult… but possible."

Nagato observed her, his entire arm coated in perfectly smooth black Armament, no wasted energy, the flow precise.

"You've adapted quickly. Paper reinforced by Armament is a unique weapon."

He extended his palm—A burst of invisible force shot outward.A new application of armament haki, which according to Tesoro, had been called ryou.

Konan: "If this is your progress… we'll be ready."

-----------

Training alone atop a tall spire, Enel's body gleamed with refined Armament, completely mastered.

Enel smirked."Tea party… or battlefield… it makes no difference. I will crush anyone beneath me."

His mantra (Observation) stretched across nearly all of New Amegakure, detecting every heartbeat.

-------------

After a month of relentless training

Kisame, Hidan, and Kakazu became the strongest with Armament—able to easily harden full limbs, weapons, and techniques flawlessly.

Itachi, Sasori, Deidara, and Konan excelled in Observation—but still mastered Armament enough to coat their arms, weapons, or chakra/jutsu.

Nagato and Enel stood at the peak—Armament fully mastered, with Nagato pushing into advanced forms.

As the month ended…

Rain fell over New Amegakure.

The Akatsuki stood near the dock waiting for Nagato to arrive.

Moments later Nagato dropped from the sky and said

"The Akatsuki are moving out."
