The marines were all lined up. 100,000 elite soliders, 20 vice admirals, with 10 giants. The three Admirals Aokiji, Akainu, and Kizaru were all seated. Atop the execution platform stood Sengoku, and the marine hero Garp sat next to Ace, who was currently bound in seastone.
Each marine stood, tensed, until suddenly, Whitebeard's main ship, the Moby Dick, suddenly erupted from beneath the bay—having been coated and hidden underwater. Three additional ships surfaced beside it, all emerging inside the encirclement wall.
The Marines were momentarily stunned.
Whitebeard stepped forward on the deck of the Moby Dick.
"It's been a while Sengoku."
Sengoku gritted his teeth and said
"Whitebeard."
Whitebeard ignored him, looking at Ace from afar and saying, "Give me a second Ace."
He slammed his bisento down and crossed his arms, using the gura gura no mi, cracked apart the air itself. The shockwaves from the attack, began pulling the sea upward, forming massive tidal waves that started to move towards marineford.
Aokiji rose from his seat, leaping toward the waves, freezing both solid with Ice Age.
The war began, Aokiji having given the pirates a foothold unintentionally, by freezing the sea. The battlefield exploded into chaos. Kizaru began raining light beams onto the whitebeard pirates, until Marco intercepted him, a few moments later, kicked Kizaru away.
Moments later Mihawk sent an attack towards Whitebeard, only for it to be blocked by Jozu turning his body into diamond. The war continued.

A ship was falling from the sky, along with people falling even faster than the ship.
Buggy, Galdino, Daz bones, Crocodile, Jinbei, Ivankov, and Luffy were all falling towards the battlefield, along with other escaped impel down prisoners. However, Sengoku noticed a large familiar bird slowly flying down with them ship, and couldn't help breaking into a sweat as it got closer. That bird.. It's the Akatsuki?!
Sengoku's expression hardened as the massive bird descended alongside the falling ship.
"Not now…" he muttered.
The prisoners crashed down first, slamming into the plaza in chaos. Luffy landed among them, springing to his feet immediately.
"I'm here, Ace!!"
While Ace remained shocked seeing Luffy, the others were only suprised for a moment before their eyes moved to behind Luffy's group, where the giant bird landed heavily on the ice, before dispelling into a puff of smoke.
Everyone's eyes were instantly drawn to the two men who were left standing.
Nagato, and Enel.
Nagato calmly said
"This time, the marines will face true pain. This world will soon realize it's marines and so called world government can't protect anything."
Sengoku's jaw tightened."Of all times…"
Garp's eyes narrowed. "That's the brat who killed Linlin…"
Akainu rose from his seat, lava bubbling off his shoulder. "Tch. This time I'll cleanse these scum. I won't lose again."
The Marines immediately shifted, rifles ready, formation tightening. Even the pirates paused, unsure whether the newcomers were enemies or allies.
Enel stretched lazily, and said"looks like we came at a fun time."
Nagato glanced toward the execution platform, his Rinnegan sweeping across the battlefield, his gaze landing on Luffy, before focusing on Sengoku. However, neither he nor Enel stepped into the fight, they merely stood aside watching the battle progress. This only served to make Sengoku more tense, and he mentally resolved "I'll step in as soon as they move."

Flashback a few minutes prior
Nagato and Enel sat on the bird, flying high through the sky, when they happened to spot Luffy and the others, and Luffy, despite everyone else being extremely on guard from seeing such dangerous people- Luffy chatted casually with Nagato.
"Whoa! Your eyes are so awesome!!"
Nagato was momentarily stunned however he quickly composed himself asking,
"You all are heading towards marineford?"
Luffy quickly nodded.
"Yep! I'm going to save my brother Ace!"
Nagato calmly observed luffy for a few moments longer, somewhat reminded on Yahiko back from his old world.
"Goodluck. However, those who do not have the strength to back it up, shouldn't be talking about things out of their reach."
Luffy immediately bristled, however the others on the ship quickly attempted to calm him down, but without any success. Luffy yelled "I'll save Ace!"
Nagato smirked slightly and decided he'd see if he really could do it, before he steps in to crush the marines.

Back to the present, the war was raging on almost exactly as in the original story, however the Marines morale was undoubtedly lower, knowing monsters like Nagato and Enel stood nearby watching. However, seeing neither of them actually step in the fight, all of the marines wisely decided to steer clear of them. Except for one exception..
"Magma Fist!"
A fist of lava was headed straight towards Nagato, however it was intercepted by a bolt of lightning.
Enel stood, now in front of Nagato and said "I'll handle this so called Admiral. I've been itching to fight someone strong!"
Nagato merely nodded, as the war continued in full force, however, Enel was now locked in a fight with Akainu.
