A golden pillar of light crashed down from the depths of the cosmos. With a deafening boom, the Bifrost of Asgard shook violently. A massive monster, over seven meters tall, plummeted from the light, his feet shattering the crystalline bridge upon impact. The sound of cracking glass echoed down the Bifrost, carrying all the way to the golden royal city in the distance.
It was Kaido of the Beasts. He was one of the Four Emperors of the New World, the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates, with a staggering bounty of 4.611 billion Berries. And currently, he was also Security Guard No. 007 of the Partys Bar in Foosha Village.
Kaido cracked his neck. The lingering aches from his previous battle on Namek still clung to his body. Suddenly, the system's voice chimed in his mind.

[Main Quest Objective: Participate in the battle for the Infinity Stones.]
Kaido looked ahead. He saw golden palaces, towering spires, and a divine continent floating on the edge of a starlit sea. A legion of guards clad in golden armor and wielding spears stood ready. Kaido split his face into a wide, menacing grin.
"Wororororo! So this is where the gods live, like the shop manager said?" He hoisted his spiked club over his shoulder and began walking toward the royal city. "Looks a hell of a lot better decorated than the garbage those fools in Wano put together."
At the end of the Bifrost stood Heimdall. As the gatekeeper of Asgard and the watcher of the Bifrost, he was one of Odin's most trusted warriors. He gripped his greatsword, Hofund, with both hands, his golden eyes locked dead onto Kaido.
"Intruder. Halt."
Kaido didn't even slow his pace. "I'm looking for the Infinity Stones. And some guy named Thanos. Anyone who gets in my way gets smashed to a pulp."
Heimdall didn't waste another breath. Flexing his arms, he swung Hofund in a vicious arc aimed straight at Kaido's chest. The blade, trailing golden energy, bit into Kaido's scale-covered skin. A loud clang rang out as sparks flew. Kaido glanced down at the shallow white scratch left on his chest, disappointment plainly written on his face.
"That's it?"
Heimdall's expression shifted. In the next blink, Kaido swung his massive club.
"Scram."
Bang! Heimdall and his sword were batted away like a fly, crashing through the stone pillars outside the portal chamber. Alarm horns immediately blared, echoing across the entirety of Asgard. The city gates flew open, and hundreds of Einherjar guards charged onto the Bifrost. They raised their shields and leveled their spears at Kaido, their formation flawless.
Kaido looked at them, his mood slightly improving. At least there were numbers. This wouldn't be too boring.
"Wororororo! Bring it on!" Kaido's body surged upward as cyan-black scales erupted beneath his skin. His horns curved, his muscles expanded, and his Hybrid Form fully manifested. Opening his massive maw, a searing light ignited in his throat. "Bolo Breath!"
A pillar of crimson fire swept across the Bifrost. Shields melted. Golden armor cracked. Dozens of Asgardian guards were blasted away by the flames, screaming as they were thrown off the sides of the bridge. Yet, the rest did not retreat. Asgardian warriors never lacked courage. Stepping over their fallen comrades, they pressed the advance.
Kaido's eyes gleamed with genuine interest. "Not bad. At least they're tougher than those Marine grunts." He swung his club and charged into the fray. With one smash, over a dozen guards and their shields were knocked off the bridge. A single kick shattered the ground, the shockwave tearing a massive gap in their front lines.
High in the distant sky, thunder rolled. A figure wreathed in lightning shot out from the royal city. A crimson cape flapped violently in the wind as the blonde warrior gripped his short-handled hammer, his furious roar preceding his arrival.
"Stay away from Asgard!"
It was Thor, God of Thunder. The son of Odin, the Crown Prince of Asgard, and a legendary warrior across the Nine Realms. He plummeted from the sky, Mjolnir bringing down a torrent of lightning aimed straight at Kaido's head. Kaido looked up. He didn't even try to dodge.
A deafening BOOM ripped through the air as the lightning struck, swallowing the entire Bifrost in a blinding white flash. The shockwave blew the Asgardian guards stumbling backward. Thor landed right in front of Kaido, his hammer pressed heavily against the Yonko's shoulder. Electricity cascaded over Kaido's body, leaving scorched black marks across his scales. A trickle of blood leaked from the corner of Kaido's mouth.
Thor's eyes were deadly serious. "You are strong, but you chose the wrong place to pick a fight."
Kaido raised a hand and grabbed the edge of Mjolnir. Smoke curled from his palm as the lightning burned his flesh. But his laughter only grew louder.
"Wororororo! Lightning? I've got that too!" Shoving Mjolnir aside, Kaido coated his club in Armament Haki. Black and red lightning violently exploded around the weapon. Flexing his arms and leaning forward, he swung. "Thunder Bagua!"
The spiked club slammed directly into Thor's chest. Bang! Thor was launched backward like a cannonball, smashing through two stone towers along the bridge before crashing into the golden plaza of the royal city. His body carved a long, deep trench through the immaculate ground. Thor stood up from the rubble, blood spilling from his lips. He glanced down at the caved-in armor on his chest, all traces of underestimation vanishing from his face.
This monster was no ordinary intruder. The physical force behind that strike was no weaker than the Hulk. Maybe even heavier.
Kaido rested his club on his shoulder, walking forward step by step. "Get up. Aren't you supposed to be a god? Don't bore me."
Thor wiped the blood from his mouth and raised Mjolnir. The sky darkened. Thunderclouds gathered furiously over Asgard. Arcs of electricity danced above the royal city, weaving together like a massive web across the heavens. Thor's voice boomed louder than the thunder itself.
"I am Thor. The God of Thunder!"
He brought his hammer down. Thousands of lightning bolts merged into a single, apocalyptic pillar, crashing down toward Kaido. Kaido looked up at the raging thunderstorm, his expression shifting. It wasn't fear. It was sheer excitement. Deep within him, the Sky Dragon Rayquaza template fully activated. His Atmospheric Authority spread outward.
The wind stopped. The thunderclouds froze. Thor's face paled. He felt as if a brutal, invisible hand had suddenly seized his connection to the lightning. The very thunder that should have answered his call began to slip from his grasp. Kaido spread his arms wide, cyan-black currents swirling around his body. The clouds roiled, and the lightning changed direction. The massive pillar of lightning that was about to strike Kaido split in mid-air, reversing course to crash down on Thor instead.
Thor raised Mjolnir to block. BOOM! The lightning exploded around him, forcing him to take a half-step back. A half-step. To Thor, it was an absolute humiliation.
Kaido's laughter roared over the storm. "God of Thunder? Your lightning doesn't seem to listen to you very well!"
"That's impossible," Thor gritted his teeth, raising his hammer higher. He charged at Kaido. Kaido charged right back. The spiked club and Mjolnir violently collided. Clang! Again. And again. With every clash, another chunk of the Bifrost shattered.
Thor's strength came from his divine bloodline and the enchantment of Mjolnir. Kaido's strength came from his Oni blood, his Demon Dragon Body, his Saiyan Physique, and a lifetime of brutal, near-death beatings across the unforgiving seas. One was the Prince of Asgard. The other was the ultimate monster of the New World. Neither was willing to yield a single inch.
Thor smashed Mjolnir into Kaido's jaw. Kaido's head snapped back, a tooth flying from his mouth. But he countered with a brutal backhand punch to Thor's stomach, doubling the thunder god over. Enduring the pain, Thor launched a vicious headbutt straight into Kaido's nose. Blood sprayed. Kaido only looked happier.
"Yes! Just like that! Hit me harder!"
Thor was infuriated. He had fought arrogant enemies before. But a lunatic who got happier the more he was beaten? This was a first. The wounds on Kaido's body were constantly healing. His Saiyan Physique was burning brightly in the heat of combat. Every injury served as a violent reminder for his body to push past its limits and grow stronger.
Thor finally realized something was horribly wrong. This intruder wasn't afraid of pain. He was using the damage to adapt to Thor's power.
High up in the royal city, Odin sat upon his throne. He was the King of Asgard, the Guardian of the Nine Realms, the All-Father. His singular eye watched the battle on the Bifrost with cold intensity. Queen Frigga stood beside him, her expression grim.
"That monster is no lifeform of the Nine Realms."
Odin did not deny it. He gripped Gungnir, the eternal spear. "There are many powers residing within him. A dragon. A beast. And a bloodline that grows more dangerous the closer it gets to death."
Frigga looked at him. "Will Thor lose?"
Odin fell silent for a long moment. On the Bifrost, Kaido smashed Thor back yet again. Thor's boots carved deep trenches into the crystalline bridge. Odin slowly rose from his throne.
"Thor needs to learn that not every enemy in the universe fights by Asgard's rules. But if that monster intends to kill him... I will step in."
In the center of the Bifrost, Kaido swung his club, pushing his Haki to its absolute limit. Thor was half-kneeling, still holding Mjolnir high. Kaido looked down at him.
"You're not bad. A hell of a lot better than those grunts. But it's not enough."
Thor looked up, his eyes burning. "Asgard hasn't fallen. And neither have I."
Kaido bared his fangs. "Then let's see how long a god like you can last!"
