Goku walked away, leaving Frieza with a view of his golden back.
"Look out for yourself," Goku said, his voice surprisingly soft amidst the booming thunder. "Don't commit any more pointless atrocities."
He didn't want to spare another glance at the pile of mud on the ground. Krillin was dead. Planet Namek was on the verge of destruction. Killing an opponent who had already lost their will to fight held absolutely no meaning for him.
Goku bent his knees slightly, preparing to take off from the collapsing continent and search for his spaceship.
On the ground, Frieza gasped heavily. He stared at the receding back, his face smeared with a mixture of purple blood and mud. The sense of humiliation grew like a noxious weed, finally peaking.
Charity. That was charity!
He was the grand Emperor of the Universe; since when did it fall to someone else to offer him his life as charity? If he survived today like this, he would spend the rest of his life living in the shadow of this filthy monkey. That would be ten thousand times more agonizing than being sliced in half.
Frieza dug his mangled hands deeply into the dirt, his fingernails breaking and bleeding.
I don't need your pity! he screamed in his mind.
Taking the ki Goku had just given him and combining it with the very last drops of his own life force, Frieza funneled everything into the tip of his right finger. The piercing red light ignited once more. It was his final murderous intent, and his final shred of dignity.
The red light expanded rapidly.
Seeing this from afar, Akainu punched a charred rock in fury.
"I told you that scum shouldn't have been left alive!"
"It's the fable of the farmer and the viper all over again! What an idiot!"
Akainu gritted his teeth, wishing he could charge forward and crush that white-skinned runt himself, but his stamina was completely depleted.
Kaido spat a mouthful of bloody saliva.
"The Saiyan kid is about to take a hit," Kaido muttered. "Turning your back on the enemy on a battlefield is just asking to die." While Kaido looked down on Frieza's underhanded methods, this was war. As long as you won, any tactic was fair game.
Frieza's face contorted horribly as he unleashed a hysterical, manic roar.
"I am the Emperor of the Universe!"
"I don't need pity from a filthy monkey like you!"
The red light at his fingertip erupted into a violent energy wave, tearing through the thick atmosphere and carrying a world-ending force. It blasted straight toward Goku's back, carving a deep, scorched trench into the ground as it traveled.
Frieza laughed. A deranged, unhinged laugh.
Go to hell.Let's all die on this planet together!
The rampaging energy wave closed the distance in the blink of an eye.
Goku stopped in his tracks. He didn't look back. His golden aura paused for a single beat in the wind, and a look of profound disappointment flashed across his emerald pupils.
He had given him a chance. He had suppressed the bloodthirsty instincts of a Saiyan and spared the tyrant's life. But that mercy had been mistaken for weakness. This completely crossed his bottom line.
"You absolute fool!"
Goku spun around violently. The disappointment in his eyes was instantly replaced by absolute, unadulterated fury. He didn't even bother taking the Kamehameha stance. He simply thrust one hand forward, palm open wide.
A colossal golden ki blast, exponentially larger than Frieza's attack, erupted from his hand. There was no charging time. No incantation. In this moment, pure ki was converted into the most brutally destructive pillar of light.
The massive golden beam illuminated the entire blood-red sky. Faced with this golden radiance, Frieza's red energy wave was like a moth flying into a bonfire. It didn't even last a second. It was effortlessly devoured, failing to create so much as a ripple.
The golden pillar surged forward with undiminished momentum and crushing pressure, slamming directly into Frieza on the ground.
The manic laughter froze on Frieza's face. The overwhelming golden light reflected in his bloodshot eyes. He felt the icy grip of true death. This wasn't just defeat; this was total erasure.
He opened his mouth. He wanted to scream something. Beg for mercy? Curse? Scream his indignation? But no sound came out.
The golden light completely engulfed his mutilated body. He didn't even have time to utter a final shriek. His vaunted Frieza Race Physiology was as fragile as tissue paper against the wrathful strike of a Super Saiyan. His flesh and skin peeled away in the intense heat. His purple blood vaporized before it could even splatter. His white bones shattered inch by inch, turning to dust.
Everything—including the rocks and soil beneath him—was completely vaporized in the pure light, annihilated into cosmic dust.
The beam leveled the terrain for dozens of kilometers, leaving behind a bottomless trench. The rocks along the edges were turned to glass, radiating terrifying heat. As the wind blew across the battlefield, there was no longer a single trace of Frieza's ki. He had been wiped clean from existence, not even a speck of ash remaining.
In the distant crater, Akainu swallowed hard. He stared at the absurdly massive trench, realizing that the heat of his Mag-Mag Fruit was basically a child's toy in comparison. This was what it truly meant to exterminate an enemy down to the roots. Even the soul was scattered to the winds.
"Satisfying!" Akainu couldn't help but let out a low roar. This was exactly how you dealt with evil scumbags. He was starting to find this blond Saiyan quite agreeable.
Kaido, on the other hand, just stared with wide eyes. He touched the shattered dragon scales on his chest. If that attack had hit him, his Demon Dragon Body would have been turned into barbecue.
"This is true f*cking power," Kaido grinned, though his smile was strained. The competitive fire in his heart burned brighter than ever. Once he got back, he was going to make Blake open this dungeon a few more times, even if he got beaten half to death doing it.
Hiding behind the rocks, Doflamingo let out a long sigh of relief. The white-skinned runt was finally dead. Was it safe now? But his heart leaped right back into his throat a second later. The blond monster hadn't left yet.
Inside the tavern back in Foosha Village, the Marines and Pirates gathered in front of the large screen fell completely silent. Everyone was utterly captivated by the spectacle.
Whitebeard took a massive gulp of his drink. "Gurararara! This kid's temper suits my tastes perfectly."
Garp, meanwhile, shoved a handful of senbei into his mouth. "This is trouble. I don't know if Sakazuki and the others are gonna make it back in one piece."
Sengoku scowled, analyzing the data on the screen. The combat power of this golden-haired Saiyan had completely transcended the Marines' scope of understanding. If a man like that appeared on the seas, the World Government might as well just announce its immediate disbandment.
The surface of Planet Namek continued to tremble violently. The planet's core was in its final stages of collapse, marked by erupting volcanoes and bottomless fissures opening everywhere. The planet wouldn't last much longer.
Goku lowered his hand, gazing at the empty trench before him. The anger in his heart slowly subsided, replaced by an endless wave of exhaustion. The Super Saiyan state placed an enormous burden on his body. He needed to leave, right now.
Just then, Goku turned. Instead of taking off into the sky, his eyes locked onto the distant crater. Mirrored in his emerald pupils were the figures of Akainu and Kaido, along with Doflamingo cowering behind a rock.
The battle was over, but he hadn't forgotten about these three bizarre individuals. The magma user and the guy who could turn into a dragon had fought against Frieza, but their ki signatures didn't feel like good people. Especially the guy in the pink feathers hiding behind the rock—he radiated an incredibly uncomfortable, evil vibe.
Still cloaked in his blazing golden aura, Goku began walking toward the crater step by step. With every footfall, the earth groaned heavily. An intense, almost tangible pressure washed over them.
Akainu tightened his grip on his broken Zanka no Tachi. He forced himself to stand upright. His stamina was depleted, but his pride as a Marine Admiral would not allow him to face an enemy lying down.
"Kaido," Akainu warned in a low voice. "The kid is coming for us."
Kaido spat out another mouthful of bloody phlegm and grabbed his snapped Hassaikai. "Who gives a sh*t. Worst case, we die. I've been tired of living for a long time anyway."
Despite his bold words, Kaido's palms were slick with sweat. Facing a monster of this caliber, anyone would be afraid.
