"You got me really worried there," Shahr uttered getting closer to Alyshia. His hands caressed Alyshia's cheeks.
"If it's okay, I want to be alone with you." Gestured Alyshia.
Shahr quickly nodded and sent everyone out. Alyshia patted the bed, like an obedient child, walked there and sat beside her. Alyshia climbed on his lap and rested her head on Shahr's chest.
"Where were you?" She asked.
"Umm, I went to see if the poor are receiving charity food properly." It wasn't a complete lie, he did go to check on it before meeting the Emperor.
"Shahr."
"Yes?
"Tell me the whole truth."
Shahr almost bit his own tongue. He wondered how Alyshia knew that he wasn't completely telling the truth. It could only mean one thing, that someone snitched on him.
"I– I," stuttered Shahr, "I went to the Imperial palace."
