"Please don't cry, Shia." Shahr pulled her closer to him and buried her head in his chest. Patting her head slowly, he kept repeating, "sssh... It's okay. Everything is okay, no need worry or cry."
His eyes diverted to some maids who were gossiping about them after noticing Alyshia crying. He swiftly scooped her up in his arms and placed her inside the carriage carefully.
"Let's go." Ordered Shahr. Only from these two words and nothing else the driver immediately understood that Shahr's mood was very sour.
The driver flinched at Shahr's cold voice and stuttered, "Y- Yes Duke."
After settling beside Alyshia, Shahr picked her up like a small child and placed her in his arms. Alyshia was deeply saddened. Usually, when Shahr picks her, she looks at him with awe, but today, even after Shahr picked her two times, she didn't look up and kept sobbing.
