*Throb*
His heart throbbed painfully in his ears. He couldn't make sense of the sudden reaction in his heart. His body became warmer than usual, his cheeks heated up for no reason, and his palms became sweaty. He couldn't understand anything.
"W– what is a young lady doing at night in this forest?" He stuttered.
Sobbing, the girl in front of him replied, "My father is sick. I came to gather herbs for him."
"Aaah." Asked Malvin, "Have you found the herbs?" The tip of his tongue tickled and his lips quivered. Though he was curious about these unusual reactions he still didn't want to find out the cause.
"No." Replied the girl.
Malvin wanted to leave immediately from there because he knew that if he learned the reason behind these unusual feelings, it would be a one-way path. Yet he couldn't bear to leave an unarmed girl alone.
"I'll help you find them. Can you tell me what they look like?"
