A streak of blue lightning flashed past.
The flock of monster birds in front came to an abrupt stop.
Two seconds later, a line of blood split open across all the ferocious alien birds, severing their heads from their bodies.
Boom!
Clouds of blood mist burst in the air. Countless savage monster birds died under that razor-sharp streak of electricity, as helpless as small birds sliced apart by steel wire.
Reflected in Buzzshock's blue eyes was the red haze of blood. He watched the remaining birds scatter in all directions and did not make another move.
To save energy just now, he had deliberately compressed the electricity in his body into a single thin thread.
That way, he could reduce the amount of power used.
As long as he struck the birds' weak points, they would still die.
And the result proved exactly that. That one attack had wiped out more than half the flock.
"Cool!" Gwen exclaimed. "Cuz, you're amazing! You're way stronger than Buzzshock at Sparksville."
Buzzshock waved a hand and asked, "Gwen, did Grandpa send you to rescue us?"
"Oh, right." Gwen snapped back to her senses and looked at her navigation watch.
There was a set of coordinates on it, marking the exit from the Null Void.
"We need to hurry. Grandpa said the spatial passage can only stay open for about ten minutes. If we don't leave now, it'll be too late." Gwen looked anxious.
"Oh man, I do not want to get stuck in this place. That would be boring as hell." Stinkfly flew over, reeking of his usual stink.
Gwen immediately covered her nose. "Doofus, you stink!"
"Heh heh, thanks for the compliment." Stinkfly gave her a shameless grin.
"Why not just turn into XLR8 and carry us there? You can switch freely between heroes now anyway," Gwen suggested.
"Good idea." Stinkfly was just about to transform.
"No. XLR8 can't fly, and moving around the Null Void that way would be inconvenient." Buzzshock shook his head.
Floating rocks were everywhere, none of them connected. They might not fall, but suspended out in the open air, if they were spotted by enemies or other monsters, they would be in serious trouble.
There were no footholds in midair. No matter how fast XLR8 was, he could not outrun flying alien monsters. And if they got pinned down by enemies, he would become a sitting target.
"Gwen, you lead the way. Ben and I will stay beside you, protect you, and clear the path. Just keep moving forward and don't worry about anything else," Buzzshock said.
He did not have much electricity left, but it was still enough to deal with ordinary cannon fodder.
With that decided, the three of them immediately raced toward the spatial passage.
Gwen's jet engine pack blasted out surging flames, propelling her rapidly through the blood-red sky.
Rumble!
The roar of the engines naturally attracted monsters.
"Roar!"
From a nearby floating rock, several savage Vulpimancers, covered in patterned markings and baring sharp teeth and claws, leaped viciously toward Gwen in midair.
"Ah!" Gwen cried out and reached for her guns.
Splurt splurt splurt!
Several streams of sticky green slime shot out and knocked the Vulpimancers back.
Gwen turned her head.
"Heh heh, nerd, when it matters most, the great hero still has to step in." Stinkfly grinned, showing off his big yellow teeth.
Gwen rolled her eyes and kept flying forward.
Along the way, monsters kept harassing and attacking Gwen.
Vulpimancers, Havoc Beasts, Green Giants, Benwolves, Tetramands, Chamalien-like beasts, and more. All of them were beaten back by Stinkfly and Buzzshock.
Of course, it was not that those alien creatures were weak. It was that both Stinkfly and Buzzshock could fly, giving them the advantage in the air, and all three of them were moving fast enough that shaking off those monsters was not too difficult.
The three of them were just about to leave the eastern region of the Null Void.
According to the navigation watch, the spatial passage was in the central region of the Null Void. If they wanted to leave, they had to get there.
"We're almost there!" Gwen's face lit up with joy.
She truly wanted to leave this hellhole as soon as possible. The legendary Null Void was absolutely not a place for humans.
"Watch out!" Buzzshock suddenly accelerated, grabbed Gwen's arm, and pulled back sharply.
Whoosh!
In the next second, a blazing pillar of fire came surging down from above. Its terrifying force instantly blasted apart a floating rock below, turning it into scorched debris.
Two Null Guardians, carrying Vilgax and Kevin, blocked their way.
"Heh, Lucian, your reaction's pretty fast. A second later, and your little cousin would've been roast meat," Kevin sneered viciously.
Buzzshock thought to himself that in the original story, Gwen was Kevin's future wife. He would probably regret this one day.
"It's you two freaks again. Don't you ever get tired of being annoying?" Stinkfly clenched his fists.
"Hand over the Omnitrix, or none of you are leaving!" Vilgax narrowed his eyes, radiating danger.
"You're always yapping about the Omnitrix. If you've got the guts, come take it yourself, you stinking squid!" Stinkfly fired back.
"Very well. You'll regret your choice soon enough." Vilgax glanced at Kevin. "We attack together. The Omnitrix is mine. Do whatever you want with the rest."
"Sounds good, handsome." Kevin laughed as he rode the vicious Null Guardian straight at them.
"Gwen, go first. Ben and I will hold them off." Buzzshock crackled with electricity all over his body.
Stinkfly spat out a wad of slime, then transformed into Spidermonkey and crouched on a rough floating rock.
"I'll wait nearby for you!" Gwen said, ducking behind another floating rock not far away.
She could not just leave. Only she could find the exit to the Null Void.
Cuz and Doofus did not have the watch, so it would be hard for them to find the spatial passage on their own.
Boom!
When enemies met, the tension exploded instantly.
The moment both sides clashed, a terrifying aura erupted. The battle was ferocious, and the shockwaves shattered the surrounding boulders, making every living thing tremble.
Spidermonkey was agile. Using the surrounding terrain, he fought Kevin with hit-and-run tactics, constantly spitting white webbing onto Kevin's face.
Kevin roared furiously, veins bulging on his forehead, wanting nothing more than to tear Ben Tennyson to pieces.
"Ben Tennyson, you're dead today!"
Kevin turned one arm into a blade, slashed apart the incoming webs, and rode the Null Guardian as he lunged at Spidermonkey.
But Spidermonkey turned into Chamalien and vanished on the spot.
Kevin froze and swept his eyes around in confusion. Where the hell had Ben gone?
In the next moment, Chamalien appeared behind Kevin and transformed into Four Arms.
Then came a punch!
The terrifying force instantly smashed Kevin to the ground, leaving him miserable.
"Don't get cocky!"
Enduring the intense pain, Kevin's blue tail wrapped around Four Arms and yanked hard, dragging him down as well.
Four Arms gritted his teeth, turned into Diamondhead, and began battling Kevin head-on.
As for Buzzshock, he had already been fighting Vilgax for a while.
If Buzzshock had been at full power, he naturally would not have feared Vilgax. But now his remaining energy was limited, and under the joint attacks of Vilgax and the Null Guardian, he was gradually beginning to struggle.
"Lucian, hand over the Omnitrix, and I'll spare your life!" Vilgax laughed arrogantly, convinced he had already won.
"In your dreams."
Buzzshock raised both hands overhead, preparing to gather an electric bomb for a desperate final clash.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, a deep and terrifying roar came from below, like the cry of some primordial beast, sending chills through everyone present.
Buzzshock's eyes narrowed. That familiar sound... it was the Barbarian Dragon!
The fight stopped at once. All of them looked down into the abyss below with wary expressions.
Boom!
A crimson-purple giant serpent over a hundred meters long surged up from below, accompanied by more than fifty thick flying pythons. Like a wolf pack out hunting, they carried a strong bloody stench and surrounded everyone in an instant.
The Barbarian Dragon's huge snake eyes locked onto them, making Vilgax and the others' scalps go numb, as if they had become prey caught in a predator's gaze.
Not long ago, after Cannonbolt had smashed the Barbarian Dragon downward, it had accidentally crashed into a snake nest.
That nest was packed with flying pythons, each as thick as a bucket and over ten meters long.
The Barbarian Dragon had immediately subdued all of them through sheer intimidation and returned with them in tow.
No matter what, it was not going to let these intruders go today.
At this moment, whether it was Vilgax, Kevin, or Buzzshock, all of their expressions looked extremely grim.
Judging by the situation, their enemy had no intention of sparing any of them.
"Roar!"
At that critical moment, a domineering dragon's roar echoed from the distant sky...
