When she arrived at the hospital, Wendy was sitting in a wheelchair, staring blankly at the sunlight outside the window.
Eve Sherman sighed softly, then came before her, crouched down, and gently held her hand.
"Mom, I'm here. Did you miss me?"
Wendy quietly turned her head to look at her, as if she still didn't recognize her.
"Recently, her mood seems to have improved a lot. Occasionally she can still talk to people and sometimes she even mumbles a few words, but I don't really understand what she's saying."

Eve Sherman nodded, gently stroking the back of Wendy's hand.
"You have to get better. By then, you can even see my child."
Eve Sherman's voice was soft, and upon hearing this, Wendy's gaze seemed to flicker, then fell on Eve Sherman.
"Child…"
Wendy murmured softly.
"Yes, a child. You're going to be a grandmother, and I'm going to be a mother."
Eve Sherman said quietly.
